let the offseason topics begin. What do enjoy doing outside of duke basketball?

-the beach/travel, I go as much as I can and my life is as tropic as I can make it lol
- concerts, I love some live music
-movies, love going to the cinema always have
- me and my wife had a baby 5 months ago and I love being a dad it’s so fulfilling and fun
-hunting/fishing at times I go through spells where I hate it then Spells where I can’t wait to go
-mission trips
-politics, something I’ve loved since the 2000 election and I was in 5th grade
-conspiracy theory/ mystery type things. Always found that stuff so interesting and I’ve gotten into YouTube channels and podcast about them

A lot has changed with my wife and I in the past few years. We used to go hiking and shooting a lot, but not anymore. Now we just try to vacation as much as possible.

Other things:
- Binge watch a show on Netflix.
- Gardening. Snow peas, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
- Baseball games. I don’t follow baseball that closely, but I love going to games. Go to quite a few Mariners games each year. Giants last year. Going to Camden Yard in July.
- Basketball. In my 30s but I still go out and shoot hoops in the Summer and do a (3, 2, 1... countdown).
- Home improvements despite my wife’s objections.
- Like I said, vacations. Love Vancouver Island BC. Want to go to Iceland and Tokyo in the next 5 years. Go to Vegas or Tahoe twice a year.
- Gambling (sports bets, Blackjack, poker, and roulette).

Fast cars, poker and the ocean! Getting ready to move to FL in a couple months and can’t wait. Have the baddest home poker Table on the planet and need to find room at the new house for it lol. Can’t wait to learn how to salt water fish.

I got back into coaching baseball. Was out of coaching for a while, but have really enjoyed trying to teach 11-12 year olds the game I played.
It is so worthwhile watching a kid get better, or taking something you say, and it works for them. Coaching to me is more fun than playing was.

NBA 2K soaks up a lot of my time. I gamble a lot on GamerSaloon and in order for that to be profitable, I practice tons. It’s fun to tangle up video game “cheese” and real basketball strategy.

Otherwise my life is pretty basic... Fish, golf, watch sports, yada yada

FTB, my wife and I are planning a day trip to Tahoe in a few weeks. Any suggestions for how to make the most of it? We're about 3 hours away.

I love to golf and travel....those two combined are pretty lethal. My goal is always 75 to 100 rounds in a calendar year. Getting to 75 is sometimes doable, but it might take retirement before I do 100. Just not enough time.

I played baseball until I was 40. This will be my second year not playing. I can’t even describe how much I miss it. I did a 35-and-over league last summer, but it’s not the same and not as competitive.

This past winter I did a church basketball league for guys over 40. It was actually much more fun than I thought it would be.

I also like to golf....:)

I should add that I also like to read, and occasionally I’ll binge-watch Netflix and/or Amazon Prime. But that’s really only in winter. From June through August I rarely turn on a TV.

1. Big video gamer
2. Collect hot wheels/matchbox cars. That’s a hobby I’ve had since I was a kid
3. Love watching Netflix
4. Traveling

I should of added gardening last year I grew and sold quite a bit of green beans and I loved it. Planting tomorrow actually. And I love playing basketball but rarely get to anymore cuz I really don’t have anywhere to or any friends that want to anymore

I watch basketball all winter, mainly the NBA and of course Duke basketball.
I play in a few men's leagues too, can get pretty competitive.

Play softball all summer, it's so much fun. My buddies and I sit out in the parking lot and drink for hours before our games, great times.
Got Bengals season tickets, so tailgate those games 8 times a year. Tailgating is more fun than going to the actual game.
Love to travel, but with having a 3 year old I have been limited in that aspect. Getting married end of May, so got that to look forward to.

Bought a house boat last year, so we make that our weekend priority. We love sitting out on the deck in the evening just having a cold one and talking to our dock neighbors.
I also love to fish, hunt, and golf. I started a thread a couple weeks ago about kayak fishing, which is a new hobby I’m getting into, and I used to do a lot of shooting and re-loading, but I have kind of gotten out of that.
Also used to shoot a lot of archery tournaments, but that has also dwindled to nothing

When I’ve gone it’s usually to gamble in March. We stayed at the Grand Residences by Marriott. Really nice rooms and close the the casinos (Harvey’s and Harrahs). My wife and her friend went on a ski lift tour of Tahoe they really liked. It has numerous stops with really good views of the Lake. It will probably be warm enough to go out on a boat. A lot of golfing there too. They have a big celebrity golf tournament there every year. Not sure when it is. I’ll ask my wife tonight if there’s anything she did that she really liked that I’m not thinking of. I spent most of my time in the sports book.

I love to play golf especially with a little wagering going on. Love to think that I win a lot ot money but after its all said and done Im sure that if I have broke even for the year I have done good. But its fun playing with a little added interest. When I am not on the course though I love to jump on the Harley and hit the mountains. I am not far from the mountains so I spend a lot of time cruising the hills and hollers around upper NC and lower VA and also hit a few cruise ins with the old GTO when there is time.

Gambling is a must. In our Tuesday night league we have anywhere from 10 to 16 guys (depending on the week) and everyone throws in $25 ($20 for skins and $5 for closest to the pins). That doesn't count the games you play within your foursome or fivesome. Have a really bad night and you might lose $40 to $50....but there's also the rare night where you might win a $100 or so. Makes it fun.

My wife and I are now retired and have been traveling the earlier part of this year. Right now we are enjoying yard work, she likes to plant flowers and I’m redoing our landscaped areas. I’m doing away with the mulch and replacing it with river rock. We also are enjoying more time with our four year old grandson.
