What a HORRIBLE article written by a USA Today writer. 1). You are a reporter, not commenting on ESPN, Fox, etc... You lost all credibility with an article like that.

But 2). Clear rebounding foul missed on Utah and 3). Winslow had the ball and was pounced on. Usually called wrong, that was absolutely a foul.

If the same damn foul goes against Duke, nothing is said. And on the video they conveniently left out where Justise was killed by the over the back. Then they go on to mention that Duke was victimized by the moving screen foul, and the the phantom 3 second call on Jah, but they don't count because it wasn't as important. They also didn't mention Jah getting his 2nd foul after making a clean block...which put him on the bench (along with Justise with his 2nd) and that allowed Utah to close the gap from 10 to 5. Of course that doesn't really matter because...it was Duke. Pathetic writing to stir up s--t and get clicks.
Let 'em cry, Justise was served.

context would be that our lead remained the same at the half and Wright played a majority of the 2nd half and never fould out of the game. But why let context get in the way of a goo-old fashioned anti-duke article to increase those page views!

Hahaha, that article is actually pretty funny. Anybody who actually knows anything about basketball can pick that stupid sh!t to pieces. So one foul called with 5 freaking minutes left....IN THE FIRST HALF, cost Utah the game. Neat.

Yeah, same old crap. I didn't see anyone writing any articles about Duke's last game with SDSU where we shot 2 freakin' free throws the whole game...and that was at the end. We lived in the paint and scored a ton of points there, but for some strange reason we couldn't make it to the free throw line.

Wow. Im gonna tweak it just a tad but just like the trivia challenge host says in Billy Madison "we are all now dumber for having read that". Also makes me scratch my head not just at the writer but even more so wondering who his editor is. He failed to mention that, if I'm not mistaken, Wright only had two points when all this took place and even then those two points came on a breakaway dunk. Bless that poor fella's heart.

I'd be thinking about stuff like, who's my coach next year, will we get to play any post season tournaments next season, and will we ever land another recruit other than some kid who looks like he should be working in the lunchroom at his high school.

Yeah, ridiculous and I won't read either. As mentioned, the lead didn't grow as it was only 5 at the half. Also, to be honest, Wright did absolutely nothing the entire game and was a non factor. Utah didn't have any wow players that could impose their will on Duke. I was very worried going into the game, but as it was progressing my frustration rose because I felt Utah wasn't particularly good and Duke should be up by 20.

Duke was ranked as the most popular college team with UK second. Non Duke fans hate them . The same reason I hate the Yankees. They win. It's just a little different in that when Duke fans "hate" unc it's because of success and now maybe the cheating but it doesn't impact our lives to the point of obsessive hatred. But their hate translates to rude degrading names a want for injury , mention of sexuality , family issues,.....etc. it's a very scary and un healthy thing . There were some bad calls last night...Wright should not have gotten this foul...but as noted the over the back on the same play was missed.

There were some poor sports in Utah last night...they loved this team and expected to win. We forget at times what a luxury we have watching Duke...and plenty of people act stupid around here when we lose...and this board is well behaved.

Agree with all of these posts particularly the ones dealing with the future of unx basketball. True , those cheating bastiges may yet earn another wristslap but if I'm a unx fan I would concern myself with Duke AFTER I find out what kind of sanctions the program gets hit with. Their fans play the "If we don't talk about it maybe it'll cease to exist" game. Again , they could get a pass but if it was Duke , I'd be plenty worried.

This is what continues to amaze me. I'll readily admit that Duke has enjoyed more than their fair-share of favorable officiating. It's a by-product of success and of having the GOAT on the bench. BTW , if a coach AIN'T gettin' after the officials to one extent or the other , he ain't doin' his job anyway. Thing is , unx fans (despite all evidence to the contrary!) continue to spout off things that simply aren't true. Dean OWNED the refs and so does Roy. Again , it comes with the territory for so-called "elite" programs/coaches. Why deny it? And where did this notion that "the NCAA is against unx" come from? I hear 'em say that a lot lately and it's nowhere NEAR the truth. Take a FRACTION of what's KNOWN about unx's cheating. Apply it to some mid-major directional school. The sanctions would've ALREADY been handed down and they'd be so draconian that the affected school might as well shut down their entire program. And given the egregiousness of the infractions , the penalties would be justified. NONE of that has happened to unx and they're under the microscope for the SECOND time in 4 years. No school would've survived that. unx has despite blatant lying to both the NCAA AND SACS. Heck , SACS openly scolded unx for lying to 'em. Has the school been punished? They weren't punished the FIRST time. Accreditation pulled? Is it even in danger of being pulled? The answer , btw , to those questions is a resounding , "no." unx , quite simply , is THE most-protected school in the NCAA. Duke enjoys a little of that too but it's nowhere NEAR the same. For whatever reason , the NCAA fears unx. This "Whoa-is-me-everyone-is-out-to-get-us" crap is pathetic. More PR for the light-blue masses and , as always , the masses eat it up.
