The very article you link explains that during those extreme climates of 100s of millions of years ago we were still experiencing collisions with other cosmic objects, including one that likely formed the Moon. Referring to that time is kind of like a landscaper claiming erosion was worse when the land for a neighborhood was clearcut.

We kind of can prove(and we have) that Biden's administration has been a bit better than a complete failure who has literally done nothing to make a positive change in our country. Fairly certain my first large post outlined a few very large positives from this administration.
That being said it's still not good enough and there are probably more of us than not from the left who rather someone other than Biden be in charge. But at the end of the day we can't let perfect be the enemy of good.
As far as doomsday predictions regarding climate change, most predictions expect the most catastrophic effects to be experienced 30+ years from now. It's already gotten bad in some places, catastrophically so, and it's only gonna get worse elsewhere as time goes on. The idea is to attack the problem before it gets to that point.
Attacking the problem by enriching politicians and bought and paid for scientists all while duping society into believing they have to sacrifice wealth and freedoms in order to control something man has no control over.

Look at how much an EV with any real size and range will cost you. It is unaffordable for a large portion of the population. The war against crude oil and the hindering of the supply is making gas and diesel too expensive for a large portion of the population to do any major traveling. This is also causing the increase in the price of every day needs. It's not hard to see how it is a sacrifice of wealth and freedoms.
