Negative covid test......OR......proof of vaccination. Even though the vaxxed spread the virus just as easily (arguably more than) the unvaxxed. Would love to know which genius ultimately made this call?

Meanwhile, more people have died of covid on Biden's watch than under Trump. That's with 3 vaccines, better knowledge and more treatments. So much for Biden squashing the virus like he promised us he would. Biden lied and people died.
I just couldn't resist and I know how it will go......but, the big difference that i believe, i will not use a declarative as to it being fact, but the original virus, with people getting vaccinated, i believe things would have gotten better..........but we all know the delta variant and its 2x contagious rate coupled w/ people refusing the vaccine, yep a perfect storm of unnecessary death imo.....more dead in 2021 than in 2020, no lockdowns in 2021, more things opening up and people gathering w/ a worse variant and people refusing the vaccine which is proven to drastically reduce hospitalization and death............i think its obvious that its unvaccinated far and away that lead the hospitalizations and death toll for 2021 and we have a proven vaccine currently that helps against that

An Associated Press analysis of available government data from May shows that “breakthrough” infections in fully vaccinated people accounted for fewer than 1,200 of more than 107,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations. That’s about 1.1%.

And only about 150 of the more than 18,000 COVID-19 deaths in May were in fully vaccinated people. That translates to about 0.8%, or five deaths per day on average.

The AP analyzed figures provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC itself has not estimated what percentage of hospitalizations and deaths are in fully vaccinated people, citing limitations in the data.

Among them: Only about 45 states report breakthrough infections, and some are more aggressive than others in looking for such cases. So the data probably understates such infections, CDC officials said.

Still, the overall trend that emerges from the data echoes what many health care authorities are seeing around the country and what top experts are saying.

Vaccinated people are 10 times less likely to die of COVID-19, 10 times less likely to be hospitalized and five times less likely to be infected, according to a new report by the CDC.
The report showed in a study of 13 states between April 4 and July 17, not fully vaccinated people accounted for 569,142 (92%) of COVID-19 cases, 34,972 (92%) of hospitalizations, and 6,132 (91%) of COVID-19–associated deaths.
In comparison, fully vaccinated people accounted for 46,312 (8%) cases, 2,976 (8%) hospitalizations, and 616 (9%) deaths

Study from Pennsylvania

As of Friday in Pennsylvania, the state reported 5,005 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,338,313.
The state reported 2,118 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 with 523 patients in intensive care. More data is available here.
A second study by the CDC also studied individual vaccine effectiveness against the Delta variant between June-August 2021.
Overall, it found vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 hospitalization was 86%. It states vaccine effectiveness was "significantly lower among adults aged ≥75 years (76%) than among those aged 18–74 years (89%)."
It adds, across all ages, vaccine effectiveness was "significantly higher among Moderna vaccine recipients (95%) than among Pfizer-BioNTech (80%) or Janssen (60%) vaccine recipients."
The study encompasses data from 32,867 medical encounters from 187 hospitals and 221 emergency departments and urgent care clinics across nine states during June–August 2021.
The study states: "These findings reaffirm the high protection of COVID-19 vaccines against moderate and severe COVID-19 resulting in ED, UC, and hospital visits and underscore the importance of full COVID-19 vaccination and continued benefits of COVID-19 vaccination during Delta variant predominance."

97% Of COVID Deaths, 95% Of Hospitalizations And 94% Of Cases Are Among Unvaccinated Pennsylvanians

09/14/2021

Lancaster, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health's report on COVID-19 post-vaccination cases, commonly known as “breakthrough cases,” shows the overwhelming majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths in the state are among the unvaccinated.
“With nearly seven million Pennsylvanians fully vaccinated, the data makes it clear: the vaccines are safe and effective at preventing severe illness from COVID-19,” Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam said today during a news conference at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital’s Suburban Pavilion.
“The overwhelming majority of the COVID-19 related cases, hospitalizations and deaths in Pennsylvania occurred in people who were not vaccinated,” she said. “In fact, the data shows that compared to unvaccinated people, fully vaccinated Pennsylvanians are seven times less likely to get COVID-19, and eight times less likely to die from COVID-19.”
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital’s Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Michael Ripchinski agrees. “While masking and social distancing will help to reduce the risk of becoming infected and transmitting COVID-19, vaccines are the most effective way to protect those who are vulnerable, including the immunocompromised, and our children who are too young to get the vaccine.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines post-vaccination cases as individuals who are fully vaccinated and tested positive for COVID-19 more than 14 days after they completed their full one-dose or two-dose vaccination series. They are also referred to as vaccine breakthrough cases.
Today’s online report shows that since January 2021:
· 97 percent of COVID-19-related deaths were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people. Among a total of 6,472 COVID-19-related deaths identified in Pennsylvania in 2021, the latest data shows 213, or three percent, post-vaccination deaths identified. Cumulative death incidence among the unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated was 7.9 times as high as the death incidence among the fully vaccinated.
· 95 percent of reported hospitalizations with COVID-19 as the primary diagnosis/cause of admission were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people. Among a total of 34,468 hospitalizations with COVID-19 as the primary diagnosis/cause of admission reported in Pennsylvania, 1,820 were reported to have occurred in fully vaccinated people. These figures account for data from 55 percent of all hospitals and 69 percent of acute care hospitals in Pennsylvania, representing approximately 80 percent of acute care beds in the state.
· 94 percent of reported COVID-19 cases were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people. Among a total of 639,729 positive cases, there have been 35,389, or six percent, identified post-vaccination cases. Cumulative case incidence among the unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated was 7.1 times as high as the case incidence among the fully vaccinated.
“That means that 97 percent of deaths reported through the beginning of September were in unvaccinated or not fully-vaccinated people,” Beam said.
“This data is further proof that the vaccines are our best tool to protect ourselves against the virus, keep our children learning in schools, keep our workforce in-person, and foster social and economic recovery,” she said. “Every person who chooses to get vaccinated brings us a step closer to moving past the pandemic.”

yes i picked and chose, bet i'd bet money its pretty much the same across the country in regards to unvaxx and vaxxed and hospital rates, icu's, vents, and deaths.....to the simple question, the vaccine isnt a cure it greatly reduces your symptoms, need for hospitalization, and death your.... percentage of getting the virus is very small, but its still possible..JJ Redick's free throw % was 91.2%, he was money from the line, but still a very small chance he would/could miss......the negative test proof, I think is dicey imo, i could test today negative for something say on monday and unfortunately through my own negligence or dumb luck get infected that day or over the course of the weekend...which is also possible...idk the window of the negative test proof.....the mask to me is just another attempt at assisting the other two requirements...how enforcement will be on that, who knows and good luck=)

Negative covid test......OR......proof of vaccination. Even though the vaxxed spread the virus just as easily (arguably more than) the unvaxxed. Would love to know which genius ultimately made this call?
vaxxed people still have a small percentage of chance of still getting the virus.....so yeah, that small few can spread just like the many unvaxxed that can spread.....where does your "arguably more" come from, because to me if you got it, you can spread it.....but vaxxed got it at an overwhelmingly lower rate than unvaxxed, so how can they "arguably spread it more", if its less??......or is it the vaccine that makes vaxxed people mass spreaders?????

Except it’s not a small few. You can go look at state by state and country by country data of the most vaccinated places and see their massive spikes in cases.

Thanks for that redick analogy. I must confess. I never really understood the whole percentage thing but your post was a real game changer. Next, if you have the time, can you explain to me what a prime number is?

maybe so as the delta variant is just a beast....def breakthrough cases are rising , but i dont think they rival the numbers of unvaxxed.....but still, the numbers show that w/ the vaccine your symptoms are minimized, hospitlization, icu, need of a vent, and death is greatly minimized as opposed to unvaxxed in all those same categories...again being vaxxed, you still have a chance to catch and thus spread, but everything else is greatly minimized in regards to unvaxxed

yur welcome...its a number that only has two factors, 1 and itself...ex.) 7...1 and 7...................and 2 is the only even prime number in existence

Right and you have a chance of getting hit by a car crossing the street. I guess my point is, especially with masking which your explanation above about why we’d wear them if everyone is vaccinated and/or tests negative, contradicts your whole premise. Simply this. Vaccines to your point don’t stop you from contracting covid. Agree. Vaccines seem to lessen the severity of covid. Agree. So, why the mask? Outside of the fact that there are tons of data saying they do nothing, let’s pretend they work. That would mean that you don’t even believe in the lessening severity of the vaccines which you’ve stated bc you still believe we need to wear the masks. You’re now saying you need both. So now we get back to if that’s true, then when would you ever be able to get to a point where masking is not necessary? Because by your logic and explanations above, it would be impossible to live in a society where masking isn’t necessary. Because like you pointed out. The vaccines do not stop the spread nor do they stop you from contracting it.

Until you are willing to at least admit it’s possible they’ve cooked the books to favor getting vaccinated, we will just stay divided. Which is where they want us.

They don’t want us thinking for ourselves. Take the vaccine, it’s good for you. Then you find out what Pfizer has been putting in the vaccines. It is beyond sickening.

Why did one of them (Moderna?) advise women considering getting pregnant hold off? Why is there higher risk for teenage boys to have possible adverse reactions to it? Why is Pfizer being accused of using aborted fetal tissue in theirs?

These are all things that should at the very least make any sane person skeptical, at best, of getting jabbed.
It pushes me further away from the needle.

It’s the lefts permanent pandemic
Why because they’re masking the safest and least at risk population- children? I just saw a stat, among the dozens I’ve seen over the last year, talking about how less than 1% of the total children’s deaths in the last year has been a child WITH, not from, covid.

Which also brings me to another alarming thing. Can we find out how many deaths were labeled “with” vs “from” covid over the course of this pandemic? Like the report that came out in the last week or two that said over 50% of covid hospitalizations were people with little or no symptoms? Can we also find out why, if this pandemic, is sooooo bad that it’s ok to lay off thousands of healthcare professionals? You know the same ones we all stood outside and cheered for every evening like sheep?

appreciate the convo w/ you timo.....vaccinated you can still be asymptomatic and spread...the negative test scenario isn't fool proof, if i provide results for a Saturday game w/ results from say Tues/wednesday/thursday that week....still before i show up on saturday for the game, i could have had some interaction or encounter which could make me a spreader at that game.....the mask to me is just another barrier to assist...you dont believe in the mask use and thats cool.........to your take on saying if they do work, i would say that even though the vaccine lessens my symptoms, i still DONT WANT COVID IN MY BODY and i dont want the experience of covid , but if i did contract covid, id take solace in knowing that my vaccination gives me great odds in seeing it through from the comforts of my home.....do we know everything about vaccine and its effects down the road, no.........do we know everything about the long term ramifications of covid being in your body, no.....but right now, i choose the vaccine and masking route......i wouldn't say impossible, hopefully with more time a better vaccine or even a cure could come about...or it just goes away prayerfully....and to your last sentence, the vaccine lessens the spread by vaxxed people and it lessens the chances of a vaxxed person contracting............not the same for unvaxxed though, much higher chance of contracting and spreading and hospitalization and icu and vent, and death......id personally choose the former

You too bc I think you come from a well meaning place. I just think you’re jumping threw a million hoops to try and prevent the unpreventable. Which again is my whole point. If you (in general) are so afraid of a virus that you have a 99.9% survival rate from, then you should never ever leave your house, let alone go to an arena like Cameron where you’re packed like sardines.

You know the same ones we all stood outside and cheered for every evening like sheep?
children at school spread it among each other and they in turn take it home and spread among the people they live with....yes death and all talked about previously is way less w/ children, but rising, but still small......but to me the concern is taking it back to homes w/ maybe elderly grandparent(s) there, health issue siblings or parents or whatever.....

*not my words*

Youre getting sucked into the wormhole. Even if they spread it among themselves and bring it home to grandparents. Every single old person has the option of getting the vaccine and the booster now. Additionally something like 90+% of people over 65 have been vaccinated. Thus that “concern” which isn’t even viable, is now not legitimate.

not a million hoops, just being vaccinated, careful, and wearing a mask in appropriate situations that last only a short time and puts me in no bind or discomfort doing so...

It’s the lefts permanent pandemic
All about the mail in ballots. A higher % of Dem voters are too lazy to vote in person than Rep. This is all about getting power (2020) and holding onto it. Why do you think the msm and big tech suppress speech re covid like no other subject. Why has the msm failed to report that evidence points that this was man made and that fauci and his cronies funded gain of function research. This virus has become their meal ticket and is their only hope of winning the 22 midterms

exactly..but not just grandparents soley..and many kids are/will be going to homes w/ unvaxxed people and the potential to vaxxed as well, which ultimately aids in feeding the spread imo.......covid is a hot mess

I don’t know what to say man haha, I think at this point if we are that worried about covid, and we believe in these vaccines than why are we even talking about it anymore. If we are concerned about the unvaccinated, then we are just spinning our wheels. This is ironic, bc you know who isn’t concerned? The unvaccinated. If they were…they’d get the vaccine. So this false concern for the very group, who isn’t concerned, can’t be a thing.

You can walk into a store now and tell who the Biden voters are without even asking them. You can hear baaaa baaaaa from under the masks.

I said earlier that after talking with someone that is working in a hospital, they have more vaxed than unvaxed in their hospital beds. Maybe it's just there, but this was a person on the frontlines. As we see from the New York Times, numbers

It is a nice try though, and a while ago was correct, but going forward the vaccinated will be making up the majority of new Covid cases, and hospitalizations. It’s already a fact in several countries and now some states. CDC hasn’t been able to predict anything correct so far. They thought they knew, but were just guessing. A better vaccine could do the trick, eventually.
