Yikes is really all that can be said. Rookie coach who certainly looks out of place and a recruiting class that was very weak.

I always thought if they simply made the tourney it would be a good year . Didn’t see them going that far .
But I don’t care who you are this does not look like Duke . Down 22 to state and only scoring 22 points .
A miserable 20 minutes of offense. I will give Jon credit for mixing things up on defense. But we went backwards on offense. No ball movement, ymca drives to the basket, and double digit turnovers. We aren’t talented enough against decent competition, so ball movement has to offset that.
I’m trying to be patient with Jon, but this 20 minutes was on him. Then to foul at the end of the half like he did? Served no purpose except to add fouls to guys. Now Blakes has 3.

I wondered how Jon would respond when the **** hit the fan. Maybe he's just too nice.

Eight colleges did but they aren’t going to be able to match the Celtics contract . He also said he had lost his love of coaching .
Really REALLY weak guard play. We needed Roach to step up and be a leader and Proctor to grow and mature to be good this year. Blake’s made us look better than we are last game.
I expected these sort of games. My big concern will be if we come out completely flat with no adjustments in the second half. If we color me concerned about Jon’s control over and ability to motivate this team.

Players are young but that's the worst half of Duke basketball I've seen in a very, very long time. Coach S has his work cut out for him.

Guard play has been essential to success in college BB forever, yet we havent had decent guard play or depth in a few years. Not sure getting 5 star forwards and combo's is working. A pure PG or two is needed on this team and there isnt one good one on the roster. Positionless basketball may work in the pros but at the College level, give me a PG x 2, center and wings with set plays all day.
Agreed. Luckily we got an overrated proctor, a specialist in grandison and a dude who should probably play D 2 in catchings to help roach
What does Roach have to do to get benched? He is 0-8 with however many turnovers and shots blocked….
Last game I said fools gold…he isn’t as good as he played last time….it was a sweet spot in time and that’s all it was.
