Do we have to listen to Corey Alexander again? Man I hope not. He and bilas are so bad it makes me miss Elmore and Packer and that says a lot.

Duke will be without Brown and probably- potentially- most likely Cooper Flagg. We still have enough to win the ACC and I’ll be honest.. the whole thing. I like Kon leads us strong with slim having a monster game. Carolina is in win or lose btw. We are currently a 7.5 point favorite

Duke-78
Carolina-64

Idk
Down Cooper and Brown it's a coin toss.
Cooper is worth 10 points imo.

I feel good. Sallis did an admirable job on Davis for the most part today. Both Proctor and James are better defenders than Sallis.

Close game for the first 30 minutes, Duke wins by 8. Balanced attack by the Blue Devils. They cannot stop James and Knuepple

I say we take it. Kon will lead us again. I think we get a good game out of Caleb as well. 79-75 good guys.

I think we see UNC take a small lead into halftime and a tight first 10 minutes of the second with Duke pulling away in the final 10. Say what you will, but Davis has been playing very well recently. But, even without Brown and Cooper, UNC doesn't have the horses to run 40 minutes with us. We can't come out 0-14 from 3 again tho, and we need some good production out of Proctor and Sion. Maybe this is a breakout opportunity for Foster? Kon is gonna put us on his back just like he did yesterday. On any other team that doesn't have Cooper Flagg, Kon would be an ACC POY candidate IMHO.

Duke 85
UNC 77

I’m going with Duke but it will be a fight .

I’d look for Davis to put Powell on Kon to try and generate the early success he had with getting Flagg in foul trouble last game . Gillis will be needed and So will Big Pat and Man Man . I’d like to see Kon and Mal stick to the pick and roll again. The entire bench will be needed and can’t afford for proctor to disappear this game .

Honestly, this is the least excited I have ever been for a Duke UNC game. This game will have ZERO consequence on our NCAA tournament seed as that is locked up. We win and we have to play our 3rd game in 3 days which could lead to another injury.

I want to win the NCAA tournament, that is all. I do not care if UNC makes the tournament or not, they are not on our radar, they will be no threat in the NCAA's.

I agree with your overall post, but you must not live in NC. No Duke fan that lives here looks at it that way.

This is actually the most excited I’ve been for a UNC game this year. I’m excited to see who can step up, who can lead, and even more excited to beat someone down 2 players to prove we’re the best team in the nation even without them

I'll get into the game once it's going on. But I'm still hurt from yesterday. Brown being done for the season stinks.
And the Cooper unknown will be annoying until he is back on the floor. I think he will be back next week, but it's still worrisome. What if he has a setback? What if he can't fly in the air like he has been?

Coop will be back next week. No boot or ice has to be encouraging. I agree with Dallas, I would love to beat the cheats three times but nothing matters now outside of next week.

Honestly, I won’t be surprised to see Cooper on the floor today. Now, we can debate that decision, but games like this are why players come to Duke. I heard on the radio that he showed up this morning with no limp whatsoever. Hopefully, that is actually the case.

Regardless of his status, I think Duke makes a statement today.

Even if Coop feels 99% healthy. I still wouldn't play him at all until next week. These games mean 0 for our NCAA seeding, and also this will give Kon an opportunity to have the ball more, Evans/Gillis will get more time and shots, and we technically are favored and still should win this tournament.
This is the luxury of beating Illinois, and winning @ UNC...the East 1 seed is locked up. For once (or at least it's been a long time) we took care of business during the ACC regular season and don't need this tournament to be a 1 seed.

Yeah saw two posts on X that he was moving around fine…still don’t need him to see the court today.

I know we say this all the time but it's more important today. Gotta start early and remove any thought of them thinking they can beat us without Coop/Brown. They know they can't beat us when we're fully healthy

I would rather see Cooper not play. We need him, and we need him healthy for the stretch run. Because Brown is likely out for the season.
I expressed concern about Brown coming back too soon and was laughed at.
I’d sit coop now too. Unfortunately as it relates to Maliq, there really wasn’t a too soon. He needs surgery. It’s the only way to get it “fixed” but it’ll never be “right”, just the nature of the shoulder at this point.

I guess I’m the only one who feels this way. If he’s good to go and we need him then I would play him. Heck, I’ve seen players step off the curb wrong and sprain an ankle and can’t play. Tomorrow is never a given. Besides, I just can’t stand the thought to losing to that baby blue team. I hate those bastards!
