I mean, if you compare those two teams the '20 team is way better than the '22 team when looking at the metrics.
bleed the 2019-2020 Duke team was a joy to watch. They were ranked #1 in November, lost at home to Stephen F Austin, beat Kansas in the Champions Classic, punked Michigan State at Michigan State, had some bumps in ACC play, had the exciting win at Chapel Hill, and really got it going in the latter part of the regular season. Roles were being defined and it was a team that had 3 scorers in Tre, Carey, and Stanley, Defenders in Tre, Goldwire, J Rob, Carey, and DeLaurier, slashers in Moore, J Rob, and Stanley, 3 point shooting, and a scoring punch off the bench in Hurt, O’Connell, White, Baker, and Moore. Good blend of experience and freshmen on the 19-20 Duke Team. Damn you Covid.

Chris, Stanley was drafted 54th Overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Stanley is a frequent flyer between G League Teams to this day.
Stanley's athleticism was off the charts but unfortunate almost everyone in the NBA is just as or more athletic.
I've said this before, but the narrative that he "had to go pro" drives me nuts. He's in the G league. Another year of starring at Duke would not have helped his stock?
If Stanley is on that '21 team we definitely make the tournament.
Stanley is a guy whom would have benefited by coming back to Duke to Improve his stock.
Would have rather had a returning Sophomore Stanley to help Hurt, Goldwire, Moore, and company as opposed to the quitter of Jalen Johnson

I'd say probably on Tuesday before the game against Miami. Hopefully, it wasn't as severe as Jon thought.

Exactly. I think they were winning the ACC Tournament and going to the FF. I know it's easy to play the what-if game with sports teams, but they had that "it" quality about them. We were also deep, played great offense, and D.
The 2019-2020 Season had a lot of parity and would have been a chaotic NCAA Tournament imo. Duke was headed for a 2-3 seed for that tournament and was one of many contenders to cut the nets down in 2020.
