Official game day thread- Duke vs Louisville II- ACC Championship

They start two 6'11 guys. My assumption is one will be on Kon. Also think they will go at him and try to get him in foul trouble. Kon has to play smart. Hopefully someone will get hot from 3 because so far we haven't shot well at all from outside. Going to take a collective effort.

Let's go Duke!

Got to slow down Chucky and Edwards.Duke’s front court needs to block shots . Can not afford live ball turn overs. Going to be a battle again .

Going with Duke but it can go either way .

We can’t expect 18 or so out of Kon, so a few others need to produce. I know Proctor has been a hot name, but he does need to be a little better on offense.

It would be nice if Evans and Gillis contribute too.

if we hit enough 3's we should be fine....if we shoot like yesterday then UL wins by double digits. They will test our interior defence with their size. We are a big team but lost some of that with the injuries. Rebounding and 3s are key.

My thoughts as well. We’ve shot in the 20% range the past two games. Have to shoot better from 3. Both taking better 3s and hitting wide open ones. That will be crucial.

Proctor is key. If he’s on we win by 12. If he continues to clank 3s it will be a nail biter.

It’s an odd feeling, but I kind of just want to get through the game tonight and get onto the NCAA’s with Cooper back. I win tonight would be great, but I lost really would not bother me too much.

I think the question of whether we are a dominant team without Cooper and Brown has been answered. We are still a good team, but more like the type of Duke team who would go out in the round of 16/32 without them. I do wonder how much the injury will affect Cooper, as much of his game is flying all over the court. I agree a win today would be icing on the cake, and good experience for some guys like Pat. We need to shoot better than 23% from 3 to win, that is what we shot our first 2 games. There is no doubt a healthy Cooper and Brown make us the team to beat, but you have to play the hand you are dealt.

UL fan here. Hope for a good game without too much bs from the refs. Cheers! Y’all are legit this year even without Flagg. I’m just happy we’re in the mix after our last couple of years. Thank god we hired Kelsey. We’re missing a key guard in Reyne Smith who is our 3 point specialist, and our back up point Koren Johnson and PF starter in Pryor since our 7th game of the year. We’re lacking in depth, and it shows when we’re playing a tough team down the stretch. We prob got a way with a foul last night on Hunter, but we were also fouled 4-5 possessions in a row prior to that from the 3 and half minute mark on. TBH, if the game was called efficiently, we would’ve won by 10 last night.

Good luck to Louisville, they have played well this season. I agree, just have a good clean game with no injuries. I do wonder how tired both teams might be tonight.

I predicted pat and mal last night would be key. I’m predicting Gillis tonight though and I don’t know why. I would love to see foster playing the same way as last night. He just needs to make an early three to settle him down.

I think Cooper will be available but after the BS Cunningham’s CFB committee pulled on Florida State there is no way Duke would tell them anything else
They want to have three 1 seeds from the SEC so bad they can’t stand it. Good call Cbus

Treat their guard like he is rj Davis. Don’t leave him. Also, I think evans gets more looks off the bench.
