For sure this is the first game I feel we have a real chance to lose if we don’t bring our A game. We will get points. I think our defense needs to show up and make it a tough night for Alabama. We are NOT BYU. Also feel like we need some bench production. Pass the pills!

It is imperative that coop stay out of foul trouble(for many reasons) One being that when coop is not in the game, defensive rebounds turn into 50/50 drills. If Alabama gets multiple looks from 3 during possessions, we are in trouble.

BYU had literally the worst defensive scheme imaginable against Bama going under every screen and never adjusted. Horrible. We switch everything so it would be rare for a 35% 3FG team throughout the year to mimic that same output tonight.

Worried about Sears though and if he finds success driving and kicking. Hopefully Jon can scheme him like he did RJ Davis throughout the last couple of years.

Also, this has to rank as one of the worst tournaments of reffing most have ever seen. Literally every game is being scrutinized for the poor officiating. Makes me wonder if they just start to let teams play more now and whether that would benefit us or them more. No doubt they are feeling a ton of heat across the board right now.

Lastly, if there’s any game made for Isaiah Evans it is this one. He should get tons of looks.

A game that is called loose benefits Duke in my opinion. It’s the game that is called inconsistent that doesn’t. I think that’s why Caleb love got all those layups late in the game.

Also, im still trying wrap my head around how kon can get tackled in the lane. Play continues. Arizona gets an and one because the lane is congested with bodies. They review and see it’s a flagrant on Arizona. Not only does basket count but Arizona gets a free throw. That’s not logical to me. It’s not like all of that happened simultaneously. I guess that’s just the product of bad officiating to not see the wrestling match under the basket?

I’m just pointing out the type of game that Vegas expects that we will see. The pace of this game is going to be interesting.

Didn’t realize Alabama is number one in rebounds per game. Has to be deceiving and that it is due to the amount of possessions they get during a game. Either way, coop has to stay out of foul trouble so that we can rebound.

Not sure what to expect. Hoping Duke’s size on the perimeter can limit/challenge shots from deep.

Bama struggles defensively so we need to drive the ball....they also are not great in the half court...usually ends in a 3pt attempt...so if we lock down on the perimeter, and push the ball inside on offense we will be good. Rebounding will be key again...second chance points need to be limited for them. Bama will have to be hot again from 3 to win....Duke in a close one
