Kessler transferring

Well, looks like Brakefield is gone. Shame. He could have looked real good next year while Mark, Paolo, and AJ were doing the heavy lifting. Not sure if he will be ready to be the man next year when opposing D is gunning for him.
By his Junior year, if he wasn't ready to demand minutes regardless of who Duke brought in, then he probably isn't gonna be great some other place anyway.

Moore and Coleman seemingly ahead of him on the wing and Banchero coming. Talented kid but definitely coasted at times.

I work with a big tar heel fan and he is convinced that along with kessler and sharpe the following are gone also because hof coach roys williams had been deceptive about their roles. love, bacot, davis, black and puff johnson. He also said that brooks would not return. I couldn't help it and told him the only deception was when he was initially recruiting them he took a pan of wanda's "nanner puddin" and told the recruits and their parents that if they chose carolina ( I can just hear him saying "carolina" ) that after every home game whether they won or lost that there would be plenty of wanda's "nanner puddin" to be there waiting. This season not one time eas the "nanner puddin" in the locker room and it pissed them all off. My co -worker just looked at me and said " you got to be kidding me." Loved it. OFC

Don’t think Coleman was ahead of Moore or Brakefield. Also, Moore will be batting to get minutes at SG vs SF. Don’t get why these kids are entering the portal before they don’t even know who’s going to the NBA. Williams leaves and Baldwin goes elsewhere and suddenly we really need 25 minutes a game at of Brakefield next year.

On a different note, maybe he knows who’s staying, committing and transferring right now and we take this as good news. However, I’ve got a feeling that this is one of those kids that we run into at the NCAA tournament over the next couple years. I’m sure the selection committee will put him right in front of us in the 1st or 2nd round. They seem to enjoy doing that sh#t.
 
Who knows what the truth is but perhaps he knows Williams is coming back. Because like you said if Williams leaves and Hurt leaves there are plenty of minutes up front. Unless Baldwin is coming. But if Williams and Hurt leave and Baldwin goes elsewhere, Brakefield could have started.

Fine with me if all of those players transfer. Only players I hoped would return were Kessler, Walton and Harris. I would love for ol Roy to retire, and hire Porter Moser from Loyola Chicago. Moser could probably convince Kessler to return

Walton was a real find. Great stroke. He should start even if the rest come back. OFC

Even if Williams leaves and Hurt . Where would he start? Moore and Griffin are ahead of him. Land Keels and he’s in at combo. Still got Paolo to man the five which K plays position less basketball. So the starting line up with the two mentioned above gone seems to be Paolo, Griffin, Moore, Steward and Roach . Steward leaves and Duke lands Keels he slides into the Sg spot.
Point blank imo, Brakefield wants to start and saw the writing on the wall. This is even without the notion Baldwin is still in play .

It is should a couple more transfer or test the waters and like their position in the draft and decide to stay in .
 
In the article on DBR, I just saw Roy's comments about Sharpe. Those are some passive-aggressive missiles!

To each their own. In your scenario the need might have been similar, but I don't see the contribution being on the same level. Still really wish he would've stayed. I think he would have been a very nice complimentary player.

That’s the thing. I don’t think Brakefield sees himself as a complimentary player but rather a starter .

I just think he hates the fact that sharpe is leaving. I can understand that, I love the fact that he is leaving along with kessler. Only ones I want to see come back are platek, mcadoo, rj smith , miller and manley . I don't to even see the pre season ACC player of the year brooks to come back . walton, davis, harris ,love , puff and black can leave too . OFC

I didn’t think they were that bad, it was a bit petty but not that bad. Either way, more Sharpe’s will not be going to unc based on it, so it’s a win.

Sean May weighs over 400 pounds now. It's sad. He's drawing a paycheck as a member of Roy's staff. Roy sounded like Biden's press conference when asked what May does for him. Roy stammered for awhile and then said that May sometimes fixes his phone

sean should be losing some weight. Bojangles no longer feeding him for free. They were losing too much revenue and wanda got tired of making him "nanner puddin ." OFC
