Fellow Braves Fans.....

9-4 record after SWEEPING the Reds. We didn't actually put on a clinic this series, but not playing your best and still sweeping any MLB club is an achievement. First place in East with two game lead over Mets.

Something MUST be done about Ozuna. We've put up with his lack of production at the plate TOO LONG, and he's a strike out machine. I was glad Braves fans let management really hear their dissatisfaction last nite. It's onto KC for a 3 game set starting Friday nite.

What they do? I’ve jest been watching thru play by play. (Computer animated Idfk bs)

Ready to see Ozuna followed by the letters DFA. Crazy thing is he made some good adjustments going into spring training but he let that go real quick.

Heard the same thing about the spring tweaks to his swing smash. Expected a much better showing, at least EARLY! He's literally almost hitting air only right now. DFA would be WELCOMED!!

Ipster, I can't really complain TOO MUCH, since we are holding a VERY, VERY EARLY TWO game lead in the NL EAST.
The injury bug has bit us early: Fried, D'Arnaud, Harris and haven't heard a report on SS Arcia yet. He took a nasty fastball to the glove wrist last nite, and left the game.

Fielding and pitching have been spotty, Acuna and Olson carrying us offensively. Hope that gives you a nice summary Ipster! #GoBraves

Hart, hope this hasn’t been discussed recently, but what’s up with Ozuna and his coil backswing dinging the catchers helmet several times already this year. Seems like that should be illegal

He's just flying wide open on his swing. He had shortened his swing up this spring and was staying more compact. He was able to make more consistent contact. Well, wave that bye bye.

New promotion by the Braves for home games. One lucky fan will get to take Ozuna's spot in the line-up. I believe he now has a negative WAR.

KD he did the same thing several times last season. That's just Ozuna's broken swing much like @smashmouth5 described. He just flails away and hopes he catches a deep ball. Smh as a Braves fan.

Agree, there should be some rule regarding the swing hitting the catcher's helmet. Actually
that's about the only thing Ozuna's been hitting of late.

Injury update and it's not good: CF Michael Harris is eligible to come off the IL Monday, but won't. He still has back issues from slamming into the CF wall making a catch. Harris hasn't even been able to take BP.

Catcher Travis d'Arnaud had concussion like symptoms after a recent collision at home plate. He has a history of concussions, and the Braves will monitor him closely.

Two game lead over Mets headed into play tonite. At KC, and first pitch @ 6:45 after rain delay.

Amazing, you pull those 2 guys out of the lineup and the Bravos keep on keeping on.

11th win came on May 2nd last year.

Scored a nifty nine after a terrific ten last night.

Wooooo when this team gets healthy.

Ozzie Albies bat finally got hot tonite. Catcher Sean Murphy is on fire hitting the ball. The two combined to knock in about 7-8 runs. Fun to watch!!

9-3 final, and Bryce Elder pitched well enough to get the win. Honestly if the Braves hit anywhere close to this over course of season, pitching only has to be decent!!! "Chop on" @smashmouth5 !!!!!

12-4 with 3 losses to the Padres

I'm attending Tuesday at Petco
We got the brooms out AA, and riding a six game streak into San Diego. This was a much tougher game than the first two at KC, but timely hitting continued to carry us (Vaughn Grissom's perfectly placed hit down the 1st baseline in the 9th) to victory.

Hope we can open the Padres series on a winning note tonite, and AA have a blast at the game tomorrow nite!! Chop on!! OFC

Win,win, win......8 STRAIGHT, and the Braves romp over San Diego, 8-1. The outburst came late as we scored three in the 8th, and three more for insurance in the 9th.

Fireballer Spencer Strider pitched beautifully to get the win. Home Runs from Albies, Olsen and Sean Murphy, who's been a pleasant surprise! Get the brooms out and go for sweep today!! Look forward to @Alaskan_Assassin_21 report.

Reminder: The Bravos take the field @ 4:10 today in San Diego today as they try for the sweep. Charlie Morton gets the ball.

Tomorrow is an off day. The Astos come calling to Atlanta Friday nite for a weekend series. Braves at 14-4 have THE BEST RECORD in the National League. We have a three game lead in the East over the 2nd place Mets. OFC

Good article about Murphy in the Atl Journal prior to season. Can’t remember all the details but seems like a great teammate and a guy you wouldn’t mind tossing a few back with

Somebody forgot and packed the matches in their luggage to head home. Nobody could light the fuse.
Yep smash you said it. We wasted some really good pitching today too. Left too many on base, and the timely hitting we've shown in the winning streak vanished.

Oh well, headed home after a 5-1 road trip, an eight game winning streak, I can't complain. However, we need to sit Ozuna down-his atrocious lack of hitting is going to bite us eventually long term. We're off tomorrow. Btw,the Mets won today, cutting our lead to two games.

Really ridiculous loss at home to Houston last nite.Led 4-1 over the defending world champs, headed to 7th. Bryce Elder had set the table for a win with six innings of wonderful pitching.

Unfortunately Jesse Chavez(who's pitched well in relief), got tagged for three runs. This tied it and Houston hit up closer A.J. Minter for two runs in the ninth. This accounted for the final 6-4 score. Strange game. Braves scored FOUR in the first, but couldn't muster anything rest of game. Mets are only a half game behind us in 2nd place.Sigh....OFC

Three straight losses after tonite. 6-3 Astros, as they score Three unearned runs on uncharacteristic Braves infield errors, two by Vaughn Grissom and one by Albies.

Braves starter Kyle Wright seemed rattled by the errors, leading to the unearned runs. Braves tried to fight back, and actually hit the ball hard. Most were outs however, and it's hard to outslug the "Stros anyway.

Three straight Ls, but the Mets lost so we stay up half a game. Max Fried, thankfully, pitches tomorrow. OFC

Those boys need to get healthy. The bullpen especially.

But Vaughn obviously isn’t ready. Need Trav back to DH.

I won’t even bring up Ozuna..
937, you are spot-on. Bullpen completely faltered this weekend as the Braves were swept at home by the defending world champ Astros. Once again we wasted excellent starting pitching (Max Fried left in top 7th with a 2-0 lead).

Once again Astros come alive and overtake us late for the 5-2 win. Frustrating. We have two regulars in the pen out with injuries.

Also we seem to be hitting the ball fairly well, but right at people. Nonetheless only 8 runs scored in three games this weekend will win very few games. First time Braves swept at home since May of '21, and the losing streak is now at four after the eight game win streak.

Grissom is an error waiting to happen on grounders to short, and not ready as 937 noted. Unfortunately regular SS Orlando Arcea is on IL, as is CF Michael Harris, and C Travis d'Arnaud.

Best thing to happen this weekend??? Astros left town.
