Dirt I love ya man but have to disagree. Nothing builds character more than crushing your opponent. We are good enough to have crushed GT but they played really well (I don't know how they have lost 8 games} and we barely played well enough. How many bunnies did we miss in the 2nd half. Thank goodness for Cassius Stanley and Jones and some timely shooting, defense and big rebounds at the end. I hate to sound like a downer but I thought this was another SFA with 6 minutes to go, But like someone said earlier this win combined with the continued dumpster fire in Chapel Hill made it a good night.I loved it. This is character building. Winning these tough games is what makes you able to function instead of folding when things are not going your way.
And I wasn't worried...probably couldn't say the same for my cardiologist team.

Heck me too, I lucked out and found these. Was a hard ticket to come by.I wish I had a buddy in Atlanta that called and said “hey, I got us tickets!!”![]()

That was pretty great wasn't it. Is that the game Grant Hill flew through the air with the ally oop?Oh, I agree crushing teams is great for confidence and such, but I believe that the only way you can handle difficult situations is to be tossed in the fire and develop the kind of belief in yourself that can only come from facing adversity. To be clutch you have to be hardened. Remember the Runnin' Rebels...they had won 40+ straight games and weren't tested many times while destroying their opponents. I told everyone I knew that if Duke was close at the end of that game that we would win. Duke was battle tested.

I feel you buddy. Hopefully this won't be the last time Duke comes here this year. The final four is here and if we are in it, I expect you to come down.Oh I’m sure it was!! I couldn’t have came down anyway. I just moved a couple days ago and the house is chaos. I don’t know where half my stuff is!! Which box or which room. Moving SUCKS!!

I’m in!!!!!That sounds great! Even if we don’t have tickets, you can pick us out a nice place to go watch! Mybe we could get several board members to meet up for it!

Tre made lots of critical shots as well dbav.
Hey man, you and the guys without AccN, all you gotta do is get the ESPN App and link it with your cable provider and you can at least watch the games on your phone...it's definitely better than nothing!Man I’ve missed so many games this year......
That would be awesome. That sounds great! Even if we don’t have tickets, you can pick us out a nice place to go watch! Mybe we could get several board members to meet up for it!
Duke fans took that place over several times last night. My little quiet wife jumped up and started hollering the Let's Go Duke chant and everybody including myself jumped up and joined in. Not sure what it sounded like on tv, but we were rocking the joint last night. Those of you who attended the game, sounded like there was a pretty good Duke presence at the game, is that true? Liked the "let's go Duke" cheer toward the end of the second half.
That would be awesome.

Man hart, seeing people that was talking smack about 4 min left in the game get quiet and head for the exits was priceless. We let them have it. I told a few friendly tech fans that we were going back and forth with as they started leaving to hang around until the final horn, you may get a few more tech players playing the air guitar.Soldier, we could hear you- it was awesome!

I'm not sure if you are serious, but I'm game. That would be awesome. I was cracking up reading this too the wife and she calmly says" that's a great idea." Then states that would be nice to throw a Duke party here with your board guys. We have extra bedrooms, the man cave, a air mattress, plenty of blankets. Said they would have to bring their own alcoholic beverages since we don't drink and no throwing up lmbo.Awesome! We gotta start planning this now!!
@retiredsoldier will rent us a spot to watch the game and he will cater in food and have an open bar. That’s pretty solid of him!! So that it doesn’t break him up too bad, we need to try and limit to 25-30 people.. for any of us, I mean you guys that got a little anibtiated, I’m sure he won’t mind however many coming back and staying with him.......and maybe making breakfast in the morning. He’s already said all this will be awesome if you look a little earlier in the thread!
When that happened, we all said ohhhhhh, but as you stated, we realized he's the sh** and we had no clue what we were talking about.Damn, Coach subs Javin for Carey. I scratch my head and then realize the man is the G.O.A.T!

Man it's crazy because I was going to make a thread after the Miami game talking about just that. I have a huge HD projector in the cave that takes up the whole wall. It's like 130x123. We can watch and clown here or go out and then come back and watch again. Nobody lives here but the wife and myself and we have plenty of room. No hotels needed. If we get to the final four, I expect to see Duke fans here at the crib. Heck, if any board members are ever here in Atlanta, our home will always be open instead of getting a hotel.I wasn’t serious about you taking care of everything, but if we planned something, I’m serious about coming down for a final four party. I bet we could get several to mke it

@QC Dukie and I are in....let’s pull for a Duke final four and start miaking a roll call!!
I know right lol. I'm still picking at her this morning. She said I just waited to let them tech fans and their chats stop and I got extra fired up. That old ex Drill Instructor voice came out lol. That's a good wife. The first Duke game I took my wife to was in the fall of 2007 at the Maui Invitational. About midway through the second half of the first game against Princeton, Duke fans started in a "Go To Hell, Carolina! Go To Hell!" chant. She really got into it. Nothing sexier.

The funny thing is she was never a basketball fan much less knew much about Duke when we met in 08. Now, she's all in. Her favorite saying" c'mon babies, you can do it." We made a promise to start making it to games next year. But I loved our boys grit last night. Wasn't always pretty, but what is? Adversity is needed in life to get you out of your comfort zone and see when you push through it, good things are mostly on the other side. That was a great game for duke. For any fans that think we are suppose to just blow teams out and not make mistakes, well good luck with that. Life isn't like that, so in noway would I expect a sports teams to do it. Div 1 players are talented in their own right, then you look and see Duke across the chest of your opponent, its game on.Hahaha....glad you two had fun.
I’ll bring the air mattress. I’m loud awake and asleep, I snore hard. Y’all will be drunk enough ya won’t hear though.
Lmfao, it's all good. The wife would wake everybody up around 7:30 with breakfast. That's just how she is.All that snoring and Soldiers roof will become his ceiling!!
