DUKE IN THE NBA

Boston beat Milwaukee pretty easily to even the series 1-1 tonight. I didn't realize just how big Jayson Tatum is. I've seen him listed at 6'9", but never really thought about it. Tatum was guarded a few times tonight by Grayson Allen. Tatum is six inches taller.
Tatum's face sure lit up when Grayson was guarding him in the post, didn't it?

Tyus is going to get PAID after this year. And well, well deserved. The question I think, though, is will someone make him their starting PG? I really hope so. No way he isn't one of the top 30 PGs in the league. Just no way.

Jayson Tatum led Boston with 29 points and added eight rebounds and six assists in a 118-107 loss to Miami.

Tatum played a bad 3rd quarter. I don't know if he was tired or what, but he threw 2 lazy passes in a row that led to breakaway layups and generally looked disinterested. I'm sure the Celts will look much different with a little rest and 2 starters back from injury/illness.

Jayson Tatum led Boston with 27 points (4-of-6) from 3 in a 127-102 win over Miami.

I still LOVE Grayson Allen!! He IS one of THE BIGGEST OFF THE BENCH DIFFERENCE MAKERS EVER in a national title game. Duke loses to Wisconsin w/o Grayson!!!

Yeah Tatum got the best of Allen. Big-Time props of course to OUR GUY JT!!! However, I look for Grayson to bounce back from that performance in style next season!!!

Hart2chesson, all that you said about Allen is true. He was incredible against the Bulls in the playoffs and had a couple of very good games against the Celtics. He's never been scared. The Wisconsin game is the best example of his drive in the big game. I'm not sure what happened to him in game 7 against the Celtics. He looked like he didn't want to be out there

Just turned on the Celtics game. They are down 12 to the Heat with 17 minutes remaining. Jayson Tatum tosses the finest left hand pass I've seen in years. A bullet behind the opposing Center's ear . Like a taller Steve Nash

Tatum was wonderful. He's unselfish and a good passer. He needs to watch tape of his dribbling spin move. He's not strong enough with the ball. He was stripped a couple of times and deflected at least four times. Otherwise, Tatum was fantastic. Miami was better. Game 7 Sunday night at 830

Tatum is going to have turnovers as much as he has the ball and as aggressive as he is trying to get in the paint. But he's made a few sloppy passes in the games they've lost and it would be a big help if he could avoid that. 3-4 turnovers is expected. 6 or 7 hurts the team. Love how he's playing but he's had a few spells of mental lapses throughout this series and he's so important to the team it's hard for them to win without him locked in 100%.

ESPN says the heat are 51% to win tonight. Vegas has Celts as a 2 point favorite. Hard to guess before knowing who's hurt and who's playing tonight. Miami is a much better team with a healthy Herro, but even if he plays tonight is he healthy enough to be a positive contributor? Hard to know. Marcus Smart has been so banged up all series long it's hard to guess how effective he's going to be as well.

Should be a fun night. Really rooting for the Celts. I put money on them when they were 22-1 to win the title. Would love for that bet to come through.

Jayson Tatum is not going to let me go on vacation, but anyway….

I’m not a Celtics fan (Laker fan) but I’m proud of Tatum and glad he beat Miami. Maybe if Pat Riley had more of those Duke guys…..

“It’s not a coincidence anymore that we’re drafting all the Kentucky players,” Riley continued. “Getting rid of the Duke concept. So, that’s enough of that.
