Awesome Friday and Sunday games. I had a feeling Virginia would bounce back after the whooping Friday. Man it felt like duke was gonna score 20 for awhile. Pollard is amazing hope he can start recruiting more Mooney type players

I have been amazed by our power hitting. Just for fun, I compared this season to the years I was there. The highest total of HRs (1968) was 12. Other two years it was 7.
This year: 78 HRs in 44 games.
In !968 we played only 31 games and used wooden bats......but still! 78 to 12!

The somewhat rare team unearned runs make an appearance...
Luke Storm hitting 2 home runs in the 8th inning - one a grand slam and from both sides of the plate - has to be one of the great stories of college baseball this year. Incredible!

Duke holds on to beat GA Tech, 6-5 @ DBAP. Series even @ one.Finale of three game set tomorrow. OFC
Enjoyed the detailed wrap-up! Have to take our "A" game to Miami, and hope UVA stubs their toe in Atlanta! OFC

I think the scenarios are:
Win 3 at Miami -- regional host, outside chance at top-8 depending on ACCT.
Win 2 at Miami -- regional host, have to win ACCT for top-8 seed.
Win 1 at Miami -- still probably a regional host unless they go 0-2 in ACCT.
Win 0 at Miami -- would need a good showing (2-0 at least) to be a regional host.

Having been an SID for baseball at a successful mid major for two years, I can tell you that midweek games are virtually meaningless when conference games start...
Great series opening win and my alma mater wrapped up a regular season conference title with a 29-11 win.

Thanks Conor, too bad the Cavs won too. I would really like to see us take the Coastal regular season crown. Nonetheless, an important W in terms of NCAA seeding as we've been staggering around a bit lately.
I would love to get at least ONE MORE W at the U this weekend headed into next week's league tourney.
