Duke Associate Head Coach Nate James leading candidate for Austin Peay head coaching job

I really would like this for Nate. He's paid his dues and I'm not sure he's in the running for the Duke job anytime soon. Of course, we'll really miss his toughness on the bench and in practice, especially with the big guys.

He’s due imo. Small school will be a great job to start as a head coach.

Good for him. I hope he's able to get this or something else. We will miss him, but he deserves a shot at a head coaching gig.

No disrespect to Wojo, but I'd hate for the Duke bench to become the unemployment line for fired coaches.

Good for Nate, he deserves it. Nolan is moving on up! Wonder who takes his spot? What if Jon leaves too? So many questions this offseason.

Good job for Nate to take. Austin Peay is the 2nd or 3rd best program in the OVC with a nice talent pool to pull from in the Clarksville, TN area.

Wonder if K tries to bring Wojo back to Duke or does Wojo take a job similar to Austin Peay so he continues as a head coach?

I'd love to see Wojo get another head coaching gig. But maybe a return to the program helps him out more in the long run? It did wonders for Jeff.

Nolan getting promoted. I don’t think we see Wojo coming back there are a couple more small time college jobs open .

Glad to hear positive thoughts of our new coach at Austin Peay ITT.

It would seem that the new coach is stepping into a good situation. Austin Peay will begin playing its games in a brand new downtown Clarksville arena in 2022-23. There will be some pressure to elevate the program above Murray and challenge Belmont with the investments that have taken place recently in the program but the AD overall as a whole.

I hope that coach is up to the task.
