Speaking of gaslighting, it was news to me that everyone -- Republicans, Democrats, and everyone else - wanted Roe v Wade overturned.

The rumors are bogus. Everyone should scoff at bogus rumors. That you're not makes you worthy of being scoffed at, too.

The Republican Governor of Ohio is denouncing the lies about immigrants eating pets. I didn't realize until after my last reply to @GhostOf301 that he was parroting Sen Vance when he said it was okay to lie about the pet-eating if it drew attention to the immigrant "problem" in Springfield, Oh. (I thought he had an original stupid thought, not that he was baaaaaah-ing out someone else's stupid thought.) Do bomb threats count as "drawing attention to the immigrant problem"? Because that's what has happened. Here, Gov DeWine gets in plenty of GOP-ish talking points, including a jab at border policy, but still stops short of all the hateful crap y'all are spouting here.

Wild conspiracies would be based on something that is so far fetched, it wouldn't be believable. This is just unconfirmed rumors about something that is very easily believable because of what we know about the culture of a good amount of Hatians. I have a feeling that this is going to be another one of those "wild conspiracies" that will quietly be confirmed after it's out of the news cycle.

I don’t have evidence that they have or have not stolen pets or ducks. Local residents say the duck population, while once thriving, is down to a few stragglers. It is what it is.
My point is that dismissing the locals’ concerns out of hand reflects an ignorance about the new arrivals’ religious customs.

As I stated in an earlier post, it would be shocking if they abandoned their religious beliefs the moment they left Haiti. This would be contrary to hundreds of years of immigrant experience in the US. And yes, some not all voodoo practitioners kill animals during the ritual. Some are okay with buying animals already dead.

The animals come from somewhere. They can’t be created out of thin air. Just to be clear, the ducks aren’t technically someone’s pets although they may be fed from time to time at the pond. Again, I haven’t seen it covered from the msm except with the purpose to debunk it.
Problem is, even if there were iron clad evidence, such as videotape, at this point the media would cover it up because it doesn’t fit their immigrants are groovy narrative.
This is why trust in the msm is at an all time low.
