Official game day thread- Duke vs Louisville II- ACC Championship

We can’t expect 18 or so out of Kon, so a few others need to produce. I know Proctor has been a hot name, but he does need to be a little better on offense.

It would be nice if Evans and Gillis contribute too.
Evans needs to break out. Seems to not play as well when he's a starter.

Dude it says you have 82 post and joined in Jan 2023.. maybe you had a different handle and I missed it? Idk. But no I’m not going to have your back when I don’t see how anyone was hating on proctor or any other players for that matter. You jumped on a bunch of posters so I called it out
Lol alright man. Go read the losts I quoted and responded to. This board has turned into THR with the negative BS.

I used to think it was wrong to criticize these college players. I don’t feel that way anymore now that they get paid a lot of money. Proctor did choke in the moment. A junior that has been there before has to make his FT’s in nut cuttin time. I told my wife Kon is clutch and he was.
Some posters’ instincts to defend perceived attacks against players is not necessarily a bad thing, but at times it crosses the line into scolding and virtue signaling.
These heat of the moment reactions are what makes a game day thread fun. Re: the $ it does change the equation when these players are making more in a year than most Americans make in five or ten yrs. No question about it

The refs did screw them. They let them claw their way back into the game with a barrage of fouls at the end of the game and give them false hope. One of which, if not called, would have put the team in the lead with 4 seconds to go with a RJ tip in 😂 Let’s not forget UNC had 2 more points than they should have had anyway becuase of the first half botched goaltending call that was clearly a block that wasn’t reviewed as it should have been.
The officiating and style of play completely changed most of that second half. Was very strange and felt like they wanted to make the game interesting. Glad Duke won in the end but wish they had played through those changes better

Gary’s post is up and it’s another must read. Refs really screwed them, Duke is maybe better without Coop, and they can still beat anyone in the country.

Mental illness continues to be a growing concern in this country.
