I read that half of the first round games start next Wed /Thursday and half start Friday/ Sat. I would hope that the team had input into the decision .They deserved to have a voice in the matter.

I thought they won't be through their covid protocols when the tournament starts so the issue of whether or not to accept an invitation had been made for them.

NIT starts on the 17 and they won’t be finished with protocol. I can see slot of top recruits even possibly Pablo and Griffin flirt with the gleague route.

I thought CDC in Dec changed the protocol period from 14 to 7 days. NIT does begin on 3/17 for 4 teams, 18th for 4, 19th for 4 and 20th for 4. I would think the NIT would work with Duke’s schedule in order to have them join the field....provided the Covid testing was negative.

If Duke has a 7 day quarantine, and if we get selected, can we go the the NCAA tournament? Or are we done? Has Duke made a statement that the season is over?
Edit: apparently Kevin White said the season is over.

Edit: apperantly Kevin White said the season is over.

Yeah, I think we're done no matter what. I do wonder if Kansas and Virginia will be seriously effected by this. Begs to question, should we have had any conference tournaments? Which would've hurt us and a lot of other teams.

Kevin White should have been this proactive about the football players going to fraternity rushes.
I would have been happy to see Duke in the NIT. I just hope the players had a say in the decision.
