If you’ve watched any of the hostage release spectacles who exactly is Israel to supposed to negotiate peace with? The moderates are irrelevant as they have no power. Israel is stuck with a barbaric group that a) doesn’t recognize Israel’s right to exist and b) vows to carry out more Oct 7s once Israel caves to international pressure to exchange more land for peace which makes it impossible for Israel to prevent future Oct 7s.
When the last Jew was forcibly removed from Gaza in 2006 it was to pave the way for Gazan statehood. It simply made it easier to use Gaza as a launching pad from which to attack Israel. The Israelis aren’t falling for this anymore.

I also don't spin the two, dismissing dead kids as business-as-usual collateral that's actually their own side's fault, while invoking the sanctum of home and using the more graphic "slaughtered" rather than just "killed." Thr left does not care about dead children in Gaza. It's just the talking point their programmers have set their brains to bring up in order to turn people against Israel. It's kind of like slavery. Their programmers want them to pretend to care about African slaves in America 150+ years ago, but they don't say shit about the African slaves in Africa today because it doesn't fit their narratives. Hamas is responsible for 100% of those dead children and if there weren't so many people refusing to acknowledge that, maybe Israel would have the support they need to get rid of hamas in a way that would spare all of those children that hamas is using as sacrificial dogs. But most of the world, including the American left, views hama as freedom fighters fighting for their oppressed people. Make no mistake, Gaza is hamas.

Leftists are complicit in getting this accomplished
I am going to take some time to give harsh criticism of Israel. When they made that deal with hamas to release thousands of prisoners, they made every Israeli a target for kidnappings and they put their safety at risk by releasing evil terrorists who will just turn around and try to kill again. The only ceasefire deal that should have been made was the release of the Israeli hostages who were stolen from their homes in exchange for a pause in the war while they discussed the terms of hamas surrendering 100%.
The Israeli govt has been outfoxed in negotiations no doubt. Unfortunately Netanyahu and his cabinet are elected officials who use the hostages as political pawns to stay in favor with the Israeli public.
The IDF could have taken out more of Hamas and more of its tunnels and weapons but couldn’t risk the actual and PR nightmare of killing Israeli hostages.
As far as the pause in the war in exchange for the hostage release this too is weighted in favor of Hamas since the Gazan pop is bearing the brunt of the bombardment while they hide protected by the hostages or are sheltered in Egypt or Qatar
Hamas wants the war to keep going. Their safety is protected by the hostages’ proximity and the U.N. and Red Cross get them whatever they want. Good situation for them.
