The New Lounge

I've also not gone all-in with Palestine. In fact, I've expressed embarrassment about how many on my side of the fence have gone so over-the-top for Palestine. From the beginning, I've said it's complicated. Just that. That was all it took for people here to attack me because anything more complicated than a napkin dispenser is intellectually intimidating to y'all. All of that proceeded any request from me that y'all demonstrate the slightest perspective by acknowledging where Israel has any responsibility for the conflict before expecting me to engage. Again, it's what I've asked for in response to your attacks and attempts to engage me on the topic entirely on your terms.

I want Israel to continue to exist as a sovereign nation. I want them to be a US ally. I also want them to be better than they are. That's not antisemitism. That's actually support.
But you never explained how it’s complicated. That’s a phrase normally used to shut down conversation because you don’t wish to reveal your relative ignorance about a topic or to indicate you don’t wish to discuss it further.
Eg. How’s Advanced Calculus going? It’s complicated an example of the former
And How’s it going with the wife these days? it’s complicated, an example of the latter

He’s lucky he’s not in jail for his medical malpractice during Covid, not to mention his labeling the Lab Leak origin theory as a conspiracy theory. Even a broken clock is right more often than this overrated hack.
Why are Dems willing to embarrass themselves in order to defend this guy?
Masks are bad, then a month later you can be arrested for not wearing one.
Then later admits that the 6 ft distance was basically pulled out of his old, tired arse and had no scientific research behind it whatsoever
He should be behind bars.

Holding Israel to an impossible standard is antisemitism imho although there are other factors as well. I appreciate that you don’t want Israel destroyed and all Jews killed. I hope that’s not one of the concessions you’re so proud of yourself for making, that you don’t want a second Holocaust

What you fail to grasp is that Israel’s destruction and the killing of all Jews wherever they are is in Hamas’ charter. It’s their reason for existence.
Whatever Israel has attempted in the past has failed. Israel has had liberal PM’s before.
Land for peace? More terrorism.
A two state solution? More terrorism.
Of course Israel’s not perfect, but if she were the Pariah she’s made out to be she would have annexed Gaza and the “ West Bank” decades ago. Gaza was controlled by Egypt until 1967. Why wasn’t a Palestinian state established during this time if it’s so important to them? Why did Arafat turn it down?
^Yep, this is what I get every time I don't go along w/ the Israel = perfect/Palestine = sporks sheep.

However you view the situation.
Before you begin please don’t waste all of our time with the stolen land trope.
A) Most of the land was purchased from absentee landlords, The Case for Israel by Alan Dershowitz thoroughly researched and footnoted. Not Fox News
B) “Palestinians” were not displaced due to Jewish migration, but due to losing the war of 48, started by Arabs, finished by Israel. Yes, the very first year of Israel’s recreation, it was under attack by surrounding Arab nations. These same nations had no problem with the land being ruled by the Ottoman Empire for centuries and then the British Empire between the two world wars. All about the Jews, not the land. Jerusalem is not mentioned ONCE in the Quran.
C) The land that is now Israel had about 1.5 m people in 48 , roughly 55% Arab, 43% Jewish, 2% other primarily Druze and Christian. A land that holds roughly 10m people now so mass displacement was not necessary until the war of 48 and its aftermath The Arab plan was initially for the refugees eventually to invade Israel, but soon realized that keeping them as permanent refugees was a powerful recruiting tool for their terrorist regimes in their respective countries

Too many big words?

I don't care if you go undefeated; when your schedule is full of picking-on-emotional-college-kids, you're SoS is not getting you into the tourney.
Do you ever wonder why it is that the emotional and mental freaks are pretty much always the ones who have been brainwashed by the left? The good clean happy people are either not political at 20 years or were raised in a conservative household and too level headed to be influenced by the mental illness of liberalism.

No, those aren’t concessions. They’re refutations of what I’ve been accused of here.
Israel is a lot like me here, alone and surrounded by unreasonable ideologues. I empathize with them greatly, yet hold them to no higher standard than I hold myself, which is not bombing everyone into oblivion. Like, I’ve figured out where all of y’all live and what time you leave for work in the morning, but I’m not going to murder you.

Just for the sake of saying. If you have one of these nose rings, nothing you say will carry any weight. Because you have already been rightfully removed from being taken seriously.
Went to a concert last night to see an ultra-liberal hippie songwriter. Saw one of those nose rings, thought of you. Happy Valentine’s Day, @GhostOf301 .

They're everywhere. It is one of the dumbest social trend. Between that, face piercing, and tattoos, it's like young women today had no dads at all or Doug Emhoff type dads. Which is probably worse than no dad.

How is saying Israel is not perfect a harsh judgment?
“Not bombing everyone into oblivion” is an indictment of Israel far removed from your claim that you’ve merely said that Israel is not perfect. This implies that Israel is taking no account that there are civilians in a specific area, that they are just indiscrimately bombing. If this were true, the death toll would be much higher.
Israel normally drops evacuation leaflets in a given area. The ones who refuse to leave are either harboring Hamas or just hell bent on becoming martyrs.
Gaza has been decimated no doubt. This is the byproduct of fighting an enemy who uses population centers as its military hq

This is probably a good time to reiterate how blurry the line is between civilians and combatants in this region. The Hamas terrorists on Oct 7 were largely dressed as civilians

Calm down, Francis. It was part of a joke.

Indeed, and Israel has the unenviable task of being careful and precise.

It's not very blurry in the case of the Palestinians. The majority of them support hamas. And when we're talking about the kind of evil that hamas is, there isn't anything that separates the civilian that supports hamas and the fighter who wears the uniform. When you see people celebrate events like 9/11 and 10/7 in the streets by the thousands and thousands, they are not innocent civilians. And again, there is a reason why other Arab countries want nothing to do with taking in Palestinians. People say that Gaza is an open air prison. Look at the wall that Egypt built to keep Palestinians out of their country.

So is this another one of those posts where I shouldn’t take the tweet you’re sharing too seriously?

Are you referring to the billions of mainstream Muslims our President saw celebrating in NJ on 9/11?

Now that we’ve heard from Dr. Eli David, shouldn’t we both sides this with a tweet from Mullah Muhammad Abdul-Rahim?

What is your issue with the tweet?

Shoot, you missed my edit. 🧌

I don’t know what you could possibly be talking about. 😇
I am talking about Palestinians in Gaza. You know, the people we are talking about.

Your people: picture of Nazis
Next: picture of Kentucky fans photoshopped into Nazi uniforms
Coup de grâce: picture of Kentucky dans photoshopped into Nazi uniforms carrying Elon’s son around on their shoulders
Every now and then you can be funny. This isn't one of those times.

Your people actually exist on a relevant scale and are killing people. Your boogeyman nazis are just a bunch of idiots with shit opinions. I haven't expressed support for them in any form. You on the other hand.

If you don’t acknowledge it then, you don’t get credit for being reasonable when you mention it now.

My people? Relevant scale? Killing people (on a relevant scale)? 🤣
Fortunately, you are well-practiced at denying the existence of privilege, so you don’t have to acknowledge the hypocrisy of claiming Nazi stink doesn’t stick to you while trying to pin the rare trans killer on me.

You've labeled yourself as an ally of transgenderism. You support the exploitation of their mental illnesses because it is a virtue that the left has adopted. They are your people. There has been nothing that I have done or said to associate myself with the people you and your team label as nazis. But do tell. How many homicides are linked to these people you are calling nazis? There are many linked to transgender people.

If they weren’t constantly told how brave and courageous they were, perhaps they would get the mental health tx so desperately needed.
During the course of this treatment, perhaps a trained professional could detect warning signs before they go shooting up a school or a nightclub.
The Left’s current position: counseling bad.
Sex Work: groovy.
Besides the increased risks of stds, drug addiction, and physical abuse, what could possibly go wrong?
