Other games today. Goldwire’s airball

I would say we were better off with Keels and AJ than Baldwin. Is a transfer to Duke possible if dad gets fired? His stock must be falling fast. I imagine he would be good in year 2. Long shot I know.

You don't think he'll leave early for the draft?

Makes sense to me. What a lost year for Baldwin. A year of college to boost his confidence is probably a good idea, particularly if he can make $200,000 from NIL

Vanderbilt must be awful. They were up ten against bubble team Florida at home, but managed to surrender the game

Oklahoma is a fascinating team. They have a couple of very good transfers, but lost Manek via transfer to UNC and Williams transferred to Wake, and he is first team all ACC

With all these teams dropping like flies someone needs to explain to me how we are not a one seed if we win the ACC tournament. Kansas has just lost 2 in a row. Purdue is about to go down. We would be 30-4 and on an 11 game winning streak with wins over Gonzaga and Kentucky.

I can explain it. If Duke is 30-4, they will be a #1 seed

You have some quad 2 and maybe a quad 3 loss (I can’t remember). At the end of the season it appears you will have only played a couple of ranked teams all year if Ohio State drops out, which is likely. It’s simply your SOS which isn’t good due to the ACC being so bad this year. It’s beyond your control but it is what it is.

Then how would Gonzaga be a 1 when they play in a mid major and we beat them head to head?

Or how does Gonzaga get to be a 1 in other years when their conference is down?

I think it’s Arizona and Gonzaga as the two 1 seeds right now. IF Duke wins out, they should be the third 1.

Like others have said, if we win out...we are absolutely a 1 seed. As long as we don't lose Saturday and our first game in the ACC tournament- we should be a 2 seed.

If we win out we are the one in the east pretty simple. 4 losses by a combined 9 points?
Nah they don’t care about common sense It’s all about let’s putDuke at 2 and let everybody obsess about it

Disagree, mostly because these other teams will likely lose again, minus Gonzaga. We know for a fact one of KU or Baylor has to, and Purdue and UK will have a ton of challenges. If we win out, I'd be pretty surprised if we aren't a one, but that's going to be challenge for sure. All the ACC teams are gunning for us as the only good win they can get. And I think you mean lose, not loose, but I agree on that. Can't take a loss in those games to be considered for a one seed.
But the issue with them taking a loss is that it’s to a ranked opponent .
I think Duke is a legit 2 seed. Won’t complain if they get a one . Where do Dukes Six road game win opponents rank in the net ratings? Seriously asking I’m unaware.
we will see but a loss anytime over the next couple weeks and a one seed talk is over .

Yes if we lose again we are definitely a 2 seed. I don't think we drop to a 3 seed unless we lose twice or in the first round of the ACC. Even then we might be a 2. If we lost to Carolina and in the first round we'd be a 3 for sure.

I agree with that analysis Chris. I'll add, the only way I think we get to a 1 seed is if the teams ahead of us stumble.

Either way, I am fine with a 2 seed, and if it's in the East, all the better.

Except we are requesting the Midwest, not the East region, so that is our hope. Part of that is Coach K being from Chicago, but I bet part of it is not wanting to somehow play Villanova on their home court.

Oh I meant if we get a big 10 team there in the tournament in could be hostile.

Duke has played so well on the road this year, I feel much more confident than previous years playing near the opponent's campus. And there will always be Duke fans present.

I am not as worried about Big Ten teams as much as Big 12 or SEC teams that have speedy point guards which could be our Achilles Heel.
