If you think this board is bad from mild criticism of Jon's late game play calling Inside Carolina has a thread titled "Head Coach Needed." They even called Davis a clown. Yikes. Most seem fairly done with him. I think they will make the tournament, but if they don't that seat will get hot. Seems like their failure to get a portal big will be their undoing; at least so far.

This board is overly critical of Jon. It takes time to build a team. By March, we’ll have a formidable group. I’m pleased with the team’s progress so far, though they’re not perfect. The building blocks are there. The doom and gloom displayed here during game threads is over the top.
UNC @ Chapel Hill lacks bigs, and that’s not something you can just acquire during the season. They’ll struggle against good teams.
We may be a formidable group by March. We may not. Right now we seem Elite Eight ish. It remains to be seen. The fact that we have a brand new team is the big question mark. Whether it comes together remains to be seen. Glass half full or empty cannot be determined yet. We shall see. Beat older experienced teams when it counts and I will be convinced. Saying "we will become an elite team" or "we are too young to make a deep run" is TBD.

Most teams in college basketball are dealing with brand-new teams. This is normal now. To pretend otherwise is burying your head in the sand.
Duke has fantastic freshmen mixed with veteran role players. To pretend like this team isn’t going to be good in March is…weak for lack of a better word.
It’s very easy to bet the field and win every year. I, on the other hand, really like this group of Duke players. I’m eager to watch how this season plays out.
We shall see. On paper it is a final four team. But way more often than not we are not recently. I am hopeful, but realistic.
I mean, most years, most teams are not going to make the Final Four. That’s not a groundbreaking observation. Seems like a pretty easy assertion to say that this team will not make the Final Four. They shouldn’t based on their preseason ranking.
Making that statement in November, based on early-season game results, is laughable though. This team has been in the mix every game that they’ve played and could very easily be undefeated.
This is a young team that has a lot of room for growth. I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve seen so far, and I like their chances to be major players in March.

There won’t be any undefeated teams this year, and “proof” won’t be available until April. Betting against this Duke team (or any other team) is safe, though. It all depends on the draw.
However, I like this team’s chances better than any other team they’ve fielded since 2019.

Cool. You do you. Better than than the Banchero team? Sure you go. Get back to me in April. I hope I'm wrong. The pieces are certainly there on paper.
