Sometimes having no pressure on you or worrying about being yanked back to the bench can go a long way.
I don’t mean any disrespect in this post, but it’s just an observation. I think because of all the 5 stars you bring in that demand playing time, some players get relegated to a lesser role, that given the proper chance could prove themselves worthy of more PT. I know I’m in the minority on Joey Baker, but I think he’s one, & Isaiah Evans looks to be another. I’m sure y’all could name several others as I don’t keep up with your program the way you do. Maybe Blakes warranted more playing time too, but he wasn’t the celebrated 4 or 5 star so he had to take the back seat. Idk.
He graduated in three years and made the right choice . Nothing wrong with that but Baker didnt do anything at Michigan . Some players just truly do better with a change of scenery .
I root for Blakes but I don't see him getting PT on this team. I'd rather have a tired Sion or Caleb than Blakes. The fact that he hit a midrange shot to win a game doesn't change my opinion.

If he came in as a 3 star he would be viewed differently. I am happy for Blakes but so far Sion is a big upgrade. I was impressed by our D at Arizona. Baker was a deadeye shooter in scrimmages but not games.

I’m not a Danny Hurley fan at all. So him getting T’d up and then losing won’t hurt my feelings.
At least the Holes lost to Auburn. We'll have our hands full with them next week

Auburn looks athletic - the scarier part is the comment - "they all accept their role and there is no me ball"....going to be a real challenge - they start 4 seniors and one freshman....with 2 more seniors playing significant mins off the bench
