Official Gameday thread- duke vs nc state

Duke makes the short drive to Raleigh tonight to play the Wolfpack of NC St. we currently sit as a 5 point favorite over the woofies. Game has a 7pm tip and will be on ACCN.

State is 11-4 on the year and coming off a loss to Clemson. They have played overall good competition with a close loss to Kansas but a couple solid wins over Dayton and butler. This is the ACC on the road so anything can happen!! State is coached by Kevin Keatts who you have to assume is on a very hot seat and looking for some big wins this season. After a successful tenure at UNCW I expected better from him but he hasn’t delivered.

I think we struggle but ultimately win.. we have a long way to go in Jan and it would be terrible to start off with an L

Be wise at that place. I worked there for a while and saw some folks lose everything. Those machines are programmed with algorithms. Skill need not apply.

You'll only lose what you gamble. If you're betting $5, throw it on State. Your heart wins if Duke wins, your wallet will win literally a few bucks if state wins. The best and better use would be to take the $5, stick it in your wallet and enjoy the game without gambling. Congrats, you are now more financially ahead of where the majority of gamblers are.

Anyways, I hope they can pull this out. @State in January always seems like a game that Duke loses, even if that's not the case in reality. Hope Whitehead has a big game. 72-68 Duke

I’m very curious to see what our guard play and minutes distribution look like tonight. NCS is having a decent year, but every single year we are their national championship it seems. They are gonna play us tough but we make our FTs down the stretch and win by 7.

Would love to see Whitehead score 20 plus points. Teams having to gameplay for Whitehead will help the other guys. Mitchell is actually our leading scorer in ACC play.

Lively is just awful. Remember when I posted about how terrible his high school stats were for a #1 player? 14 and 14 are not impressive for a dude his size, definitely ranked on potential.
