Another brutal break is finally in the books as we look to improve to 3-0 in ACC play as the 5-7 Hokies come to town. Not much to say here we SHOULD beat a terrible team with ease.. Duke is favored currently by 24.5 but we always tend to struggle after time off..

After a long break, we will likely come out slow, it will be a single digit game at half, and we will pull away in the second and win by 24. Let's see a balanced attack and some good ball movement on offense.

So glad Duke basketball is back. Expect us to be rusty because that's who we are and also due to the long break. We lock them down on D. We win going away at the end

Hopefully, Flagg's jam will get us energized. We're obviously prepared because we come out slinging haymakers on defense. So I don't understand the offense starting so slowly.

I would chalk up a start like this because of 10 days off but it’s most games. I just don’t know what type of preparation is happening. Defense keeping us in it but this offense (and lack of set plays) can be ugly.

I've gotten used to our slow starts. Just think that's who we are at this point. Just glad our defense is strong enough to carry us when we're cold.

Mal all off a sudden has butter fingers. Just have fumbled the ball 3-5 times so far

Coach Scheyer did A Great Job Managing this game. Also, loved the passion he showed as a result of Duke’s Excellent Defensive Plays in the 1st half!

Continue to Grow Duke!

I just want to say… my favorite play of the game was Evans assisting on Mason’s 3 with about a minute and a half left.

The two of them are arguably competing for the same minutes. There has been a pretty direct correlation between more minutes for one and fewer minutes for the other.

It’s a play that reminds me that the Brotherhood is strong and that despite individual aspirations, the team goals come first.

Defense is definitely really good this year.
Yeah, and to me, that’s possibly the most impressive thing. I mean, all but 2 guys in the rotation are brand new to Duke, and while on offense an individual can shine regardless, defense really has to be more cohesive. For Coach Scheyer to have gotten such a consistent, high level from the D with the inexperience (together) of our roster is really impressive.

That was a good play and Evans made a good play to get by his man and a selfish player would have shot a floater

Evans is averaging 11 points the last 4 games off the bench. I also think Sion in the starting line up has made us tougher. Foster needs to regain his confidence, he doesn't look comfortable coming off the bench right now.

Chris, hopefully C Fos can get consistent with his good play. He played really well at Georgia Tech, in the 1st half against Kentucky, and against Auburn. He just needs to play well Consistently.
