Official game day thread- Duke vs Baylor rnd 32

Who knows? Just a hunch really and just making conversation. I don’t like being this confident about a game against a team of this caliber but I am. I just think we are gonna roll.

I'm kind of in the middle. I'm not in full on Bill Paxton in Aliens Bleed panic mode but I also think Baylor is capable of winning this game if certain things fall into place. We'd probably win 3 of 4 so 75% chance of a win imo.

Agreed, stay out of foul trouble (mainly speaking to coop) limit turnovers, and rebound on the defensive end. I know that’s a recipe for any teams success but our defense is good enough to win even if shots aren’t falling. I predict we jump out to an early lead. Just need to keep it. Should be a home game as well. Crowd needs to bring the energy and be as loud as when Spencer Hubbard went into the game on Friday.

Duke will have to rebound today . Not just Flagg but everyone. It’s pick your poison. Flagg vs all of Baylor . Omier will have to be limited on the boards . He’s going to go at Mal and Big Pat. Get both in foul trouble that evens the court . I have Duke winning but it could go either way with who gets into foul trouble .

I was going to mention that Kon has been in a bit of a mini slump shooting. Someone on the other board mentioned he got banged up the last game and had to come out for a bit. Not sure what happened.

Kon went 0-5 from 3 against Louisville. I thought it may been tired legs from playing alot of minutes in the ACC tourney. But then he didn't shoot well the other day. Hopefully he gets it turned around today. Think with his size advantage today he'll be taking it to the rim more.

Nothing is given. At this point of the tourney anybody can beat anybody. Fact! But this team has so many weapons. If one guy is off for a night others have stepped up. I believe we see that all the way to the title game. Stay healthy!

Duke can lose to Baylor - it’s March and stuff happens even to the best teams. Winning a national championship is hard. Baylor hasn’t really been blown out all year but also hasn’t faced an offense as potent and deep as Duke.

As someone above said game win share is 70-80% so you play 10x Baylor wins 2-3. I just don’t think today is that day. You have 6-7 guys capable of going for 15+ and Baylor is ranked 58 defensively on Kenpom. I think the guards will get some but overall the size and connectivity allows Duke to swallow them up. I also think at some point you get a Coop Superman performance - just feels written that way.

If not - it’s a bummer and you tip your cap. It was an insanely enjoyable team - my favorite since the 2010 team.

he has started driving baseline a lot and shielding his body in a certain way to the defender making it almost impossible to defend or block. I’d like to see him continue to do that until someone stops it.

I was having to listen to the game when that happened. I just know that he had a nosebleed.
