1st Round of the nba draft in a few minutes.

Flagg will be going to the Mavericks

Would love for Knueppel to land in San Antonio, Philly (with McCain), Charlotte with Seth Curry and Mark Williams, or in Utah with Filipowski

Maluach would be great to see play alongside Zion in New Orleans, Toronto with Ingram and Barrett, or Phoenix with MP2, Tyus, and Grayson

Good Luck to Flagg, Knueppel, Maluach, Proctor, and Sion in the NBA Draft!!!

Hoping Proctor doesn't join the Keels/ Hurt/Stewart/ Stanley hall of fame.
Cooper 1
Kon 6
Mal 9
Coward 21
Proctor 39
Sion 44

One of the biggest choke jobs ever. Congrats to our guys and I hope they win a lot of rings but I never wanna think about that team again

I get the frustration. We have had success but also an obscene amount of NBA talent the last decade with no title. My frustration is just getting these guys one year, but we still have it good.

Coward at 11? Wow. Not sure I've seen a guy go from 2nd round to 11th pick in 2 months. That's crazy.
It's Portland, whatcha gonna do. That organization could f&*k up a cup of coffee.

As to Coward, his rise was entirely based on hype because he looked great against air. He played a total of 6 games last year and the only one against a decent team (Iowa) he was awful. His agent and the media did a great job of turning him into a lottery pick and Portland (not surprising) bought it. Poor Blazers fans.

Actually it was a good move . Bane is in Orlando now and Coward is almost the same type of player. He was traded to Memphis and I think he has a good chance to start . I also think Cowards defense capabilities is better then Bane’s.

It may turn out to be a good move but there is nothing on tape to back up what you're saying. He hasn't played against good, let alone great competition. The one decent college team (Iowa) he did play against he looked over matched.

He has great measurables and put on an excellent shooting display against air. Whether any of that translates to the court against NBA competition, on either end of the floor, is pure speculation with nothing to back it up. Saying he's better than a proven NBA player at anything is just silly.

Add in the fact that he's already 23 years old and, well, it's Portland doing Portland things.

Coward may turn out to be a good pro. But I do wonder if he went from underrated to overrated, and maybe they (Portland then traded to Memphis) didn't want to miss out on the next big thing due to all the buzz he was getting. Happy for the kid though. Hope Proctor goes in the 30's; seems like guys in the 40's disappear.

Very Happy for the guys. Imo it was cool to see the players get emotional after being selected, because they think about all the hours of work they put towards Achieving their dream in playing in the best basketball league in the world.

Loved seeing the reactions from Maluach, Wolf, and McNeely

I know you are being sarcastic pisgah. Agree with the sentiment that if you hang your hat on a successful season being one that ends with a National Championship then you are going to be upset 99.99999999999%%%%% of the time.

The D1 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship is the Toughest one to win in all Sports imo.

Coward is in Memphis not Portland . They traded him to Memphis which is a good fit seeing as how Memphis traded Bane to Orlando . Bane is a high volume three point shooter . He’s not known for defense therefore coward went to a team who not only needed to replace Bane’s shooting but also needs a 3-D wing . Bane wasn’t an all star he made all rookie second team and his career high came in 2021 when he scored 29 points.
Notice I said Cowards defensive capabilities are better then Bane’s . With his wing span and his over all physical maturity coming into his rookie campaign .

Our storybook season was derailed by 7 minutes of really poor play. They are young men. Stuff happens. Doesn't make it any easier to accept. :(

I didn't watch the draft, only saw highlights. It was really nice to see Cooper get so excited in the middle of being interviewed when Kon went #4. Those two had a special relationship for sure!
