North Carolina has to beat Iowa State with an injury and Illinois to make the sweet 16. Illinois has been blown out by several teams since we blew them out. Seems unfair. Hopefully they lose to Iowa State. They play San Diego State first.
North Carolina and Illinois are not in the same region. I think you may be confusing UNC with UK.North Carolina has to beat Iowa State with an injury and Illinois to make the sweet 16. Good hope Indiana joins in. This is a bad look for Cunningham and his buddies
I am just floored by all the Duke fans who think we got an easy draw. We will have our hands full with either Mississippi State or Baylor. And that's assuming we win on Friday, which we should, but nothing is guaranteed. The Cheats have been gifted a Sweet Sixteen appearance.
This is insane. I'd bet Louisville gives Auburn a good game. I still say Auburn wins that game. But the Cards will be motivated.Louisville finishes the season at #10 in the final AP poll but is a 8 seed. Teams 1-8 were seeded accordingly to their rank even though there could be discussions on who is the best 1 or 2 seed. Texas tech is 3 seed
Final AP poll...
1-Duke
2-Houston
3- Florida
4-Auburn
5-St John's
6- Tennessee
7-Alabama
8- MSU
9-Texas tech
10-Louisville
Hoping Louisville get the Smith guy back but he's been out a couple weeks so he'll be rusty. I think something is going on in that Auburn locker room between the players. Maybe it's Baker Mazara and players are tired of his crap or maybe they're just playing bad at the moment. At least they'll have the home crowd and shouldn't be rattled too much against Auburn with their veteransThis is insane. I'd bet Louisville gives Auburn a good game. Yep, I just remembered the sc fans doubled because unc and their fans played after or before. That was an away game. That's also true. Louisville does at least get the opportunity of playing in Kentucky. Which is unfair to Auburn. Not unlike us getting South Carolina in Columbia.
They don't give one shite about looking bad. They care about winning and getting over at all costs. And they're doing it.Good hope Indiana joins in. This is a bad look for Cunningham and his buddies
To be fair, '18 and '19 are a Grayson Allen roll away and a Zion missed defensive assignment from the FF. So, those were pretty damn good teams that were two bounces away from two more FF's and probably a title in '19. This team now has all the intangibles but I just worry about our health the most.I don't want this to come back and bite me, but this Duke team is nothing like the 17,18,and 19 teams. Even the title 15 team had some hiccups along the way. This team is the most enjoyable team I've watched in a long time.
I'm trying. My nerves have been shot since last Thursday.Bleed it, first we’re gonna need you to take a Xanax and a few deep breaths. If Duke can’t win that second round game against either of those two, they don’t deserve to go to the final four. Relax, this Duke team is dialed in.
Also in terms of who the holes could play, Ole Miss blew out Louisville, beat Alabama, beat Kentucky, beat Tennessee, only lost to Auburn by five in the SEC tournament, lost to Mississippi State in overtime, they lost to Purdue by two points. As someone else pointed out, Mississippi State didn’t beat any of the upper echelon SEC teams.
Btw Ken Pom O/D rating sure looks good for Iowa State. I’m sure they would say they’re more than just one player as the ACC found out about Duke this weekend.

I’m referring to how frustrating those teams were to watch. The 17 team had more problems than Carter had liver pills. The 18 team was the most frustrating bunch to watch. They were oozing with talent, but a few of them didn't seem interested in playing team D. The 19 team was awful shooting three's. Offensively, we played 2 on 5. I knew we were doomed when we barely escaped the first weekend when Dawkins son missed that alley-oop, and another missed one by VT kept us out of overtime, just to get to the elite 8.To be fair, '18 and '19 are a Grayson Allen roll away and a Zion missed defensive assignment from the FF. I will never root for those fools....ever!! I do agree us along with Florida made really cases to be overall #1. It's almost as if the committee didn't care about the conference tourneys. They were going to make Auburn the 1 seed and they were going to let the Cheats in.I'm in the minority here, but I would rather UNC be in the tournament than West Virginia. West Virginia in 5 games above .500 and 5-5 in its last 10 games and lost to the worst team in the Big 12 tournament, and has an injury. The NCAA screwed the whole Acc, we should have been the top overall seed,we are the #1 team in the nation, and have breezed through our field. If the 4 teams we send to the dance perform well and the SEC has just 4 or 5 teams in the sweet 16, then the narrative shifts.
Have to think Maliq is done. Pat has stepped up so damn much and brings way more offense and his defensive game has improved. Not the defensive presence as Maliq obviously but Pat will hold it down in relief of Mal.This is the best overall team we’ve had since 2001. This defense and togetherness is what makes me think they will get to the finals. Defense wins championships and we have that. My only concern is will we get Brown back.
I can't say that I am rooting for them! Thats a stretch, but in this very specific set of circumstances I do not mind that they were included.I will never root for those fools....ever!! Still don't agree but it's all good. Appreciate your opinion. There's no way they would want us to be included just to make the conference look good.I can't say that I am rooting for them! Thats a stretch, but in this very specific set of circumstances I do not mind that they were included.
Yeah, I would never ever pull for them. I hate Kansas, UCONN, and Kentucky with every fiber of my being and I would pull for any of them, and have, over the Cheats.Still don't agree but it's all good. Appreciate your opinion. Gotcha. I hope you're right and they go all the way. I guess it's seems like a pipe dream to me because something always seems to happen to us since 2015.I’m referring to how frustrating those teams were to watch. This team may lose early, but I don't get that feeling at all. And to compare each of those teams to this one before the tournament? This team has no weaknesses, and they all seem to enjoy playing together.
Yeah, damn right. No true Duke fan wants the cheats to succeed at anything.I would love for the ACC to have a great showing in the tournament, minus UNC.
It seems like everyone started putting the ACC down 3 years ago, but a few teams do well each year.
