Hey guys recently new to the board. Absolutely love Duke!Great season! Was thinking about this today. Since we are actively in the OAD era, if guys like Kyrie, Jabari, Jah etc "hypothetically" stay 4 years, do you think any pass JJ for all time scoring? Also can't forget about guys like Brand, Maggette and Deng. I apologize if this has already been discussed. Personally, I think if Kyrie stays healty 4 years he surpasses JJ (my 2nd fav Blue Devil), he is absolutely killing! And would be a senior this year. Wow!

I'm not sure but if Jay Williams had played his fourth year, he would possibly be way ahead of JJ

J-Will coulda came back and averaged 6 ppg and beat the duke record.. I don't think anyone else woulda had that much but it's just me haha

J-Will was 690 points behind JJ. He averaged 19.3 ppg over his career while JJ averaged 19.9. A 36 game senior season he would have needed 19.1 ppg. He probably would've done it, but its not a slam dunk.

I think Jabari would've ended up as Duke's all-time leading scorer. Keep in mind he averaged almost 20ppg his freshman year (Duke record) while J-Will and JJ both averaged around 15ppg. He was a much more polished all-around scorer than almost anyone in Duke history as a freshman.

I think Jabari could have reached 3,000 points in 4 years. He was already on pace for 2,680 - only 89 points behind Redick's final total. Most likely Jabari would have increased his scoring to around 21-24 ppg his final three seasons.

My bad I coulda swore I head J-will say he coulda came back and avg 6 and done it

What if Art Heyman had 4 years and 35 plus games per year. Just saying for us old farts. OFC

Not only would J-Will have easily beaten it IMO (let's not forget J-will scored 21+ as both a soph. and a jr.), Parker would have shattered it if he played 4 healthy years -- and really maybe even 3 healthy years. When you consider that Parker scored 19.1 ppg in about 30 minutes despite being a bit out of shape and having a somewhat erratic 3 pt. shot, I can only image what his numbers would look like once he tightened up his 3 pt. shot, improved his cardio, and increased his minutes. While this 14-15 team was too talented for any one player to score 25+ a night, I think Parker's one of those guys who would have been able to efficiently score 25+ from his soph. year on if he were on a team that allowed him to take enough shots -- such as next year's Duke team.

Like Sky said the older players averaged around 80m games in their careers. With another 50 to 60 games players such as Verga, Mullins or Heyman would have pushed 3000 points

I bring up the old school guys because I don't want them to be forgotten. We have a lot of new generation Duke fans that are going to carry the Duke nation for years to come. I want them to know the history of a great program and had many outstanding players before Coach K transformed Duke to the best program in the country the last 30 years. I just want all duke fans there was a Duke program 30 years before Coach K graced our program and became the G.O.A.T. I need to brush up myself on players that were there before 1961 when I became a Duke fan as the only player I can even talk about is Dick Groat. Long live the Duke tradition. OFC

I became a fan in 62 but Bob Verga is the player who really sealed the deal for me.I spent hours unsuccessfully trying to copy that beautiful behind the head jumper
