I'm not sure when it became a contest...I kind of like Andrew Slater's overall knowledge when it comes to recruiting. I'm sure you can attest to that at least.
I don't follow the connection to Giles whatsoever, but I can still get behind "Mudblood."

I would like to sit down with Gary7 and see what he is really like, surely he can't be that big of an idiot. I will say one thing, the guy is entertaining
I have to say this about Gary7. It has crossed my mind that good ole Gary may be a plant from another fan base such as NCSU,UK or even Duke just to get some reaction from THR and see how way off base a poster of theirs can be. Back in the day of my generation people who had taken too many drugs were burned out. This guy is burned out. Really this guy is just so way off base that it's like he's in the Twight Zone.

I like the use of the term "Duke-type kid" throughout the analysis. Even the NBA analyst used that term. I like hearing that.
Oh I definitely don't question the info and knowledge of the guys you're following. I just have been using 247 as a guideline to get an idea of where recruits may end up going, rather than try to read into everything that a recruit may say on Twitter or where plans to announce. Seems like some fans of other teams really kept trying to hold out hope for Giles because of this line of thinking, but I felt comfortable at least checking up on 247 periodically.
I'm sure this has been mentioned, but it is remarkable to me, and unfathomable just a few short years ago: there are four top 30 players from the state of North Carolina in the class of 2016, and UNC isn't getting a single one of them.

LOL, Who said it was? I was just adding that our insiders were on top of it for a long time now. I don't have anything against the 247 people. Andrew Slater is someone I know outside of here and he is good at what he does. Good guy as well.

Wow. Wow. Wow. We truly are an incredibly blessed fan base, and this signing is just another example of why. I think the last time i was anywhere near this excited for a pick was when we signed kyrie, but this is like ten times as exciting for me. All the flack we catch year in and year out is exceeded in its worth by the team and coaches we put on the hardwood each and EVERY year. I have a favorite team in eveey sport but ask anybody who knows me what my favorite team is and theyll tell ya Duke without even having to think. Im just glad that we have a system and a team that because of what it embodies will be able to keep me from looking ahead to the riches of next season. Welcome HOME Harry Giles, glad you followed the golden trophy road!!!
Ps an example of the flack i encountered just yesterday was when i shared the snippet that Duke is the first team in the Espn era to sign the #1 and #2 ranked players on espn.com from the same class. Which, and im not making this up, was immediately commented on by a Kentucky fan telling me that Espns rankings are a joke / garbage and he then made that claim indisputable fact by telling me they are those things because of the fact that SIX YEARS ago in 2009 they ranked avery bradley number one overall and john wall number five overall... I almost didnt know how to reply lol...
