Hahahaaaahaaaaa....

But Zions shoe at the very start of the game is still funny.
UNC boards upset, but mention ruining K’s last season every third post. Destroying K better than National Championship they say.

How did they destroy K ? The won by four points. I’m lost on this one .

Rent free man. Grasping at straws now. I said it before, if Duke had beaten UNC and lost last night the shit wouldn't have mattered either. Whoever won that game had to win the NT for it to truly matter and they didn't.

Had a fan show me where they are saying the floor buckled under Bacot foot.
The floor did move quite a bit. The floor is a jigsaw puzzle of 6 foot by 8 foot pieces with coils under it. I suspect that one of the coils was damaged.

I don't know if the floor caused Bacot to fall or if it moved because a giant man was already sliding. There were several odd plays on that exact spot in both halves

Louisville with 3. If Louisvilles last one “doesn’t count” then hopefully this Ku title will be vacated eventually but I’m not holding my breath

Well I'm just going by the NCAA'S decree. Which I guess mean's Duke defeated blank to win the 1992 NCAA Title. (shrug)

I'll scream this from the mountaintop though(and the KY fans need to hear it as well) NOTHING is happening to the KU title. the NIL basically wiped out half the NCAA rulebook. It's possible NCAA could go after some games from few years ago. But it's been 1,000+ days since those allegations were levied.

My Tar Heels did choke. They panicked to start the second half. Kansas must be really good. They did the same thing to Miami to start the second half.

The golf analyst, Johnny Miller, talked a lot about choking. Handling your nerves is what golf is all about. I choked on so many 18th hole putts that I made every time on the practice green.

Leaky Black choked the most. He is great on defense but he didn't even want the ball last night because his hands were shaking. He walked on the court for a turnover because he was too shaky to throw the ball inbounds against token pressure.

Choking isn't the worst thing. It's human nature. They played hard as evidenced by outrebounding Kansas by 20. It was a miracle run, but letting a 15 point halftime lead evaporate in the blink of an eye is certainly choking

kudos for stating this as its hard I'm sure. Some other elements like Loves ankle and Bacots slip certainly didnt help. Kansas got the benefit of playing Nova without their #2 scorer, and playing UNC with their inside guy playing on a bum foot....not that their fans will care or acknowledge.

Or it could be that his ankle ligaments were already loose from two days prior and he tried to make a guard type cut in open space.

You know I was thinking, there is a National Champion who went 35-5, won the pre-season NIT title over UCONN, finished 1st in the ACC, won the ACC Tournament (I was there) went to the Final Four and won it all. That team sure has been bashed at times on IC over the years as not being a great Champion even though they won EVERY TITLE that was humanly possible to win.

That team would be the 2009-2010 Duke Blue Devils. Had unc's 8 seed 9 loss squad won it all last night, wonder what they would have said about that team the next time they did their little best champs rankings list?

My favorite Duke team. Not our best team, but my favorite.

A beauty. Powerful on the glass, efficient as hell, a great trio of scorers, (didn't even have a pure point guard) and (drum roll on this last one) EXPERIENCE out the wazoo.

Not sure so much as choking as it was getting steamrolled in that first 10-12 minutes of the second half . IMO choking would have resulted in a 15+ Kansas win. After Kansas went up 6, UNC battled back and took the lead but didn't make the necessary plays down the stretch

Oh no, they choked. A dominating 15 point lead to lose in the biggest game of their lives to date.

Ok.. can't totally disagree with that description after the dominance of the first half. You knew Kansas was going to make a run. UNC lesser talent level was exposed in 2nd half. But, it was only one of the biggest games of their lives to date.

We all know what they would’ve said had Duke given up a 15 point lead. (I believe it actually peaked at 16 didn’t it?)
Yep. They choked. And we love it. All those shit eating grins from hole fans have disappeared today. It's funny, I saw all these people out with their Carolina shit on yesterday and today.....nada.

Sorry..while I understand the animus given the rivalry and the unfolding events over the past month, the fact remains that this UNC team overachieved in their success this year. A #1 seed is supposed to beat a #8 seed. A coach with Self's experience and pedigree is supposed to out coach a rookie head coach...and he did.

The holes didn’t choke. Self just waited almost too long. Credit where credit is due. Hubert did a great job with 5 1/2 guys. Kansas just too fast, and too many guys. They sped the holes up, and made it chaotic.
Like him or not, Self woke up and coached his team past an overachieving, scrappy bunch.

So glad to see Love struggle. Kid is a thug.

They absolutely choked. 😂

I hated seeing that last injury/floor buckle thing for Bacot. I hope he's doing alright. So pivotal as McCormick was able to rebound his own miss and go right over Manek on the next play.

Also, I heard Leaky deals with some severe anxiety issues? And IDK what happened to Puff there near the end. That was just a strange sequence there the last few minutes.

Choked, not choked. We disagree there, but I think it’s safe to say we we’re happy they lost.
I can appreciate that sentiment. If it had been Duke I would be happy for their loss as well. Leaky seemed off kilter for much of the game and the in bounds fiasco was akin to his backboard pass against Baylor. With regards to Puff, his playing time and production far exceeded my expectations for him. I just kind of figured he got sick due to lack of conditioning not having played that many consecutive minutes previously.

Not even close to being accurate. Duke's talent was head and shoulders above UNC's talent this year as witnessed by the regular season. Add in a HOF (and possible GOAT) head coach and any matchup should have gone somewhat like the Smith Center game. That is why those last two wins vs Duke were very special. Last night's game would have been the cherry on top. I pull for the Heels but am not blinded to their athletic abilities this year. Depth was an issue and it finally caught up.

Have you put your UNC shirt back up in the attic yet?

Ask a Tar Heel fan how their team is doing when times are bad. Their response is alway “man I ain’t got to really watch them this year” but as soon as they start winning here comes the power blue gear out from the back of the closet

Sure......

This is a Duke board. We really don't have to justify what we say on here. Good Lord if I refuted every Duke slam on RR it would be a full time job.

Had this exact exchange with a plethora of their fans throughout the season. After they won Saturday I saw more people wearing that wussy blue than I have all year. Nothing out and about today. I live in an area that is dominated by Carolina fans....and not a single person is wearing shit.

My cousin is a Tar Heel fan and he played that card after we beat them in Feb. they’re pathetic. At least UK fans rep their gear year round

Those Cheaters spend more time on our board than they do their own. They get off on it
I admit I came here initially to read viewpoints of the 2 UNC losses meltdown, but what I found were some pretty knowledgeable fans. Every fanbase has their The Refs Suck contingent and I am not a big fan of Coach K although I have to respect his career.

I’ve learned to not play the refs sucked card. It comes off as whiny. I admitted Duke lost Saturday. We had a lead with 1:18 left and couldn’t hold it.
