Well, I think this team, and our players (and us!) deserve a gameball poll. I've not got much practice doing these things so it's not going to be nearly as polished as BluePhil. So bear with me.

Ca$h was so exciting and unreal, but after I looked at it, I went with Tre. A lot of good choices.

Thank you sir! Going with Cassius because of those dunks but it was definitely Tre.

Well, I'm feeling pretty good, as far as the heart problems go, Sky. The thing that is kicking my butt is that I have a bad reflux problem to start with, and the medicines I'm going to have to take are like pouring gasoline on a fire. And I don't mean just a little heartburn or such stuff. This is horrible, and I can't hardly swallow food or pills, and the pain is pretty intense too. My doctor has made some adjustments, and added more reflux medicine, but I'm still having a little trouble. Hopefully, I can get to a level that I can endure a little better.

As far as why I had this heart attack...they seem to think my family history of heart problems is definitely the reason. I'm a vegetarian, and fairly careful what I eat. I'm not diabetic. My cholesterol and triglyceride levels are quite good (better than both my daughters). I'm pretty active, and have been my entire life even though all back, neck, shoulder problems have curtailed some exercise. I'm a caregiver (as you know) and there is a certain amount of stress involved, but the doctors all think that I'm just a little unlucky in the genetic department.

Im going with all 4 of the guys listed. Without even one of the four's points we dont win the game.

But OMG can Stanley slam it down!

I think you may have the requisite qualifications required to be a gameball pole creator.
My apologies to our female posters, I'm just having a little fun with our beloved gif king.
But yes, Longhorn, you're definitely qualified And I like that the gif reminds us so much of Duke basketball and of our desire to cut down the nets.

I voted for team mainly because I couldn’t decide between Tre and Cassius but also because several players made big plays when we needed them whether it was scored baskets, free throws, rebounds, blocks or steals.

First off thanks Dirt.

Second, I almost went this way too, but ultimately I went with Cash because he stepped up on O and D at a time when most of the guys were stalling out. We couldn’t get much going in the way of offense, energy or defense and after being reamed out for not diving for a loose ball, Cassius responded how you want winning players to respond.

It was a toss up between Cash and Tre. Cash made the spectacular plays, but I had to vote Tre because he seemed to steady the ship throughout the game.

I went with TEAM. Bunch of guys stepped up when we needed it.

Hurt had a huge corner 3 when we had a 1 on 4 break after GT turned the ball over when it looked like they had all the momentum.

Jack with another momentum swinging 3 when he came in.

Cassius with the monster dunks.

Tre with the exception of free throws had a great all around game.

Jav with the big block and 2 clutch free throws.

AOC looks to have more confidence and for stepping in for Baker who barely played in minutes last night.

Honorable mention for me to Cash in Hand Stanley for the three big highlight plays in a row when we needed them.

Have to go with Tre though - Cash's big plays would not have been possible without our floor general and when we needed it Tre was there all night.

Also hats off to everyone.

This team never had me worried. They never seemed to get flustered. Vernon looked like a man he took their best and just kept working hard. Goldwire did his job +.

We played a team that really worked hard last night and credit to them for taking advantage of some situations.

I didn't get the game up here, any idea why Baker only played 4 minutes?
He had a bad turnover and I thought he missed a couple shots, but the box score is not showing he took any. Alex just looked WAY better in that role. He was way more active, quicker to the ball, and more intentional with his movements. So AOC got those minutes

I want to give a shout out to our Seniors! We were down 8 or so early and the starters looked lost. Coach put in Jack and Javin (and Goldy) and we quickly erased their lead and eventually built out a big one of our own. Then at the end, Coach had to go back to Jack and Javin to steady the ship. Jack hit probably the biggest 3 and Javin the biggest free throws. What a luxury to have 4 years of experience on call whenever you need. Impact seniors are so important.

That's my understanding too, there's only so much you can do to overcome bad genes when it comes to cardiac issues. Hang in there and keep doing what you're doing.

I went with Tre because of the overall stat line, but Cash got the spark going in second half (watch your head young fella!). I also thought Goldwire was EXCELLENT on the defensive end. He had one bad pass on a play where he probably should have just pulled it back out, but other then that I thought he did exactly what we need him to do.

OAD, thanks for doing the "Game Ball" post. I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues, and I wish nothing but the very best for you. Take care my friend, and know that you are in my prayers.

God Bless-

I read a couple of comments last about some not being happy with the win. That it shouldn’t have been close, etc. I disagree. That was back to back road ACC teams. They may have been a bit tired. I think the fact they won speaks more about the grit of this team then a blow out

Went with Tre...big shot after big shot

Cash was definitely a highlight real for sure

Vern played his worst game of the year so far IMO..very sloppy with the ball....but we still won an ACC road game....I'll take it

I agree that Vernon struggles last night but at the same time it shows how good he is because even with him struggling he still scored 14 points.

Not sure, but I think Longhorn just tied to kill OAD.
Then again, if your a glass half full kind of guy, he might have given him another reason to hang in there. Hope it's the latter!

NO!!! Do you think maybe Longhorn is a Heel plant and he's here to take out the OFC? What a fiendish plan.:D
