Fellow Braves Fans.....

Love it smash!!! We're "knocking" on Mets door, just "THREE" back. We've slashed 7.5 games off Mets lead in a month!!! Cheers to under the radar reliever Jesse Chavez by the way! Get the broom out tonite boys!!!

OFC
Another great move by AA. Trades Newcomb for Chavez. He just gets it.

Got bombed last nite. Ian Anderson's pitching has been off lately, and our bats were pretty lame against a really good Phillies hurler in Aaron Nola.

It's OK, we took 2 of 3 in Philly. Time to get the bats cooking tonight in Cincy (3 game set), at The Great American "SMALL" Park!!! Can never have too many runs there. Trail Mets by 3.5 games.

Bros! Kyle Wright emerging might have saved our butts.

In 2022, Ian Anderson has only 4 quality starts out of his 15 starts. He's struggling to throw his off speed for strikes so hitters are sitting on the fastball. Hopefully we send him down and he can figure it out. Might be more serious connected to his shoulder in 2021.

If we make a big move in the 2nd Half it will likely be for a back end starter. Because Strider needs to be put on innings limit. I think Soroka pitches but he won't be counted on or pressured. Maybe we call up Muller to eat some innings.

We just need Jensen to hold up, Matzek return and no one else get injured. I think we can handle everything else. Rosario returning soon.

Nice summary 21!!! OFC

Duvall had a rough second inning. He was hit on the hand to load the bases. Michael Harris then "walked", but on appeal Laz Diaz ruled that Harris went too far, and Duvall was called out as he was on his way to second. Duvall could not take the field for the bottom of the second because of the sore hand

Great pitching performance by Spencer Strider. Six innings, one hit, 11 strikeouts, one walk.. the run was scored after a groundout advanced the hit batsman and he scored when Strider sawed off the next batter who blooped the ball in front of Michael Harris to end the no-hit bid

Well we survived the obligatory Will Smith pitching drama in the 9th and beat the Reds. Despite incredible pitching today from Strider, Minter and Chavez (16 strikeouts), Smith served up a ball that just missed a granny by 2-3 feet..... Braves win 4-1, cut Mets lead to 2.5 games. We've gained 8 games in exactly one month! Miraculous!!! Need to sweep Reds tomorrow!!! OFC

You're an optimist, hart2chesson! Seven weeks ago, I was just hoping to get to a wildcard run. But you always said that the mets could be caught. They travel to Atlanta next week

I would be a horrible, terrible, awful manager. I would have yanked will Smith after the first walk. He loads the bases on zero hits and serves up fly ball pitches in a bandbox.

I suspect that the Braves will try to add a journeyman starter and let the brilliant Strider pitch five or six innings of relief per week

You get Matzek back and then you can move Minter to closer. I wouldn't mess with Strider. You're not sure what you are going to get out of Ian Anderson right now.

I believe that I heard the radio crew correctly...Strider hit 102.4 in the third inning. Fastest recorded pitch in mlb history that was a strike according to the electronic strike zone

Thanks ged, I try to be. Really I was thinking despite a HUGE loss in Freddie, we were pretty similar to last year's team. I was also hoping the CONFIDENCE of a title run last year would kick in.

Still much work to be done, and I hear the Mets are getting Scherzer back, plus DeGrom sooner than later. Must sustain our good play. Hey I still check wild card everyday too!!! OFC

I forget is there 1 or 2 teams for the NL that make the wildcard?

Wowww I was about to ask who the hell are the guardians …..It just set in

Scherzer will pitch Tuesday for Mets @ Reds. DeGrom more likely to be out until after All-Star break. OFC

Another rough sunday loss after a great performance from the starter. Strider last Sunday vs. the Dodgers and Morton today against the Reds. 7 shutout innings. Full command of his curve.

Acuna stole two bases. Reds' starter Castillo pitched great. He'll probably be traded next month. McHugh pitched poorly in the 8th. Minter was fine in the 9th. Some bad luck for Minter

He makes $28 million per year. He hasn't thrown a pitch in a calendar year. deGrom has a total of eleven wins in the last 2.5 seasons and someone in his agency is suggesting that he wants to pitch for his team's rival. If I owned the team, I would hire a made man to tell deGrom that shoulders and fingers can be mangled pretty easily
