Love it smash!!! We're "knocking" on Mets door, just "THREE" back. We've slashed 7.5 games off Mets lead in a month!!! Cheers to under the radar reliever Jesse Chavez by the way! Get the broom out tonite boys!!!
I can smell it buddy!!!And just like that…. theres blood in the air . Here we come!

Freddie has a nice cushy contract extension, but he's NOT a happy guy in LA. OFCMets lose again. Braves win again. Freddie got screwed.
smash our front office does deserve credit. AA pushing the right buttons! OFCAnother great move by AA. Trades Newcomb for Chavez. He just gets it.
Nice summary 21!!! OFCBros! Kyle Wright emerging might have saved our butts.
In 2022, Ian Anderson has only 4 quality starts out of his 15 starts. He's struggling to throw his off speed for strikes so hitters are sitting on the fastball. Hopefully we send him down and he can figure it out. Might be more serious connected to his shoulder in 2021.
If we make a big move in the 2nd Half it will likely be for a back end starter. Because Strider needs to be put on innings limit. I think Soroka pitches but he won't be counted on or pressured. Maybe we call up Muller to eat some innings.
We just need Jensen to hold up, Matzek return and no one else get injured. I think we can handle everything else. Rosario returning soon.
great nite for us ged! Dansby's bat stays hot!!! Max is like a surgeon on the hill! OFCSeven innings from max Fried tonight. He gave up only one run. Braves lead 9-1 in the ninth. Acuna was the DH. He went 2 for 3
smash 100% agree! That was twice tonite, and no doubt 2nd was on purpose. Action must be taken for Acuna's protection! Good observation about Michael's glove!! OFCDansby's bat
Harris's glove
Time for the Braves to start hitting people after Acuna gets hit
Hit 1st time in foot he injured ged, then last time squarely in back.Young man holding his poise, but as @smashmouth5 noted, we must retaliate.. OFCI didn't see the game. Listened for a few minutes on the radio. I was wondering why Acuna only had 3 at bats
He's incredible... but often injureddeGrom in a Braves jersey?
Some rumblings that if he opts out of his contract at end of the year...the ATL is the destination.
You're an optimist, hart2chesson! Seven weeks ago, I was just hoping to get to a wildcard run. But you always said that the mets could be caught. They travel to Atlanta next weekWell we survived the obligatory Will Smith pitching drama in the 9th and beat the Reds. Despite incredible pitching today from Strider, Minter and Chavez (16 strikeouts), Smith served up a ball that just missed a granny by 2-3 feet..... Braves win 4-1, cut Mets lead to 2.5 games. We've gained 8 games in exactly one month! Miraculous!!! Need to sweep Reds tomorrow!!! OFC
I believe that I heard the radio crew correctly...Strider hit 102.4 in the third inning. Fastest recorded pitch in mlb history that was a strike according to the electronic strike zoneYou get Matzek back and then you can move Minter to closer. I wouldn't mess with Strider. You're not sure what you are going to get out of Ian Anderson right now.

Thanks ged, I try to be. Really I was thinking despite a HUGE loss in Freddie, we were pretty similar to last year's team. I was also hoping the CONFIDENCE of a title run last year would kick in.You're an optimist, hart2chesson! Seven weeks ago, I was just hoping to get to a wildcard run. I forget is there 1 or 2 teams for the NL that make the wildcard? Thanks ged, I try to be. Really I was thinking despite a HUGE loss in Freddie, we were pretty similar to last year's team. I was also hoping the CONFIDENCE of a title run last year would kick in.
Still much work to be done, and I hear the Mets are getting Scherzer back, plus DeGrom sooner than later. Must sustain our good play. Hey I still check wild card everyday too!!! OFC
It's three teams qualifying for wild card this year ifaze, 1st time ever!I forget is there 1 or 2 teams for the NL that make the wildcard?
Scherzer will pitch Tuesday for Mets @ Reds. DeGrom more likely to be out until after All-Star break. OFCThanks ged, I try to be. He makes $28 million per year. He hasn't thrown a pitch in a calendar year. deGrom has a total of eleven wins in the last 2.5 seasons and someone in his agency is suggesting that he wants to pitch for his team's rival. If I owned the team, I would hire a made man to tell deGrom that shoulders and fingers can be mangled pretty easilyMets' Jacob deGrom may have interesting suitor if he opts out of deal: report
New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom may follow through and opt out of his contract in the winter and a National League East rival could be waiting.www.foxnews.com
