We have no clear leader, the bats are inconsistent, our field defense is subpar, and there's not a sense of anything really improving anytime soon.
Ready for them to call up Waters too. Give me an outfield of Waters, Harris, Acuna. Move Ozuna back to DH and leave him there. That was going to be the thing with Olson. The toughest part for him was replacing Freeman's leadership.
Olson doesn't have the WILL of Freddie. He goes thru the motions. Fact he leads league in doubles is misleading. He's awful at plate with guys on base, and his glovework sucks lately! OFC

If we kept Freddie this team isn't 10.5 back and playing this way. In fact, I'd bet we'd be right there with the Mets or leading the division. The front office mucked this one up and we're seeing it play out in real time.

Lmao!!! I love it smash! We're rollin!!! 4 in a row... AND 27-27 for our first .500 mark since April. We didn't gain any ground since the Mets won, but hitting .500 gets us in wild card conversation.

Ended up battling and made it through the 5th.
Braves win a SQUEAKER!!!! 8-7. OLSEN snares grounder and dives for 1st base, just beating Rockies batter to the bag for FINAL OUT! 5 GAME WIN STREAK, and history making 1st ever Braves FOUR GAME SWEEP at Colorado!!! 28-27 record, and competing hard for final wild card spot. Season still VERY YOUNG! OFC

The Braves next 12 games are against weak opponents: Oakland, Pittsburgh, Washington and the Cubs. Starts tonight at home against the A's. Oakland is much better on the road. 13-13 away and only 7-23 in Oakland
Acuna with another first inning leadoff HR. Awfully good. Seems like he should hit in the middle of the order, but I am no expert

Spot on about Wright!!! As the game wore on he became a Tower of Power! Hopefully our staff only gets better, as the season wears on.
Mixed emotions about moving Acuna in the batting order. No question you would like "some ducks on the pond" when he takes his ABs.
By the same token, he can be such an IMMEDIATE GAME CHANGER at the top of the line-up, I am inclined to leave him in the leadoff spot. It's a very VALID QUESTION and DEBATE.
Bottom line: Right now we are winning, and I wouldn't change a thing! OFC
My favorite player of all time is Rickey Henderson. He would change the outlook of a game with the first bat of the game. Acuna reminds of Henderson. He changes the game with his first at bat and will then get his RBI opportunities as the game progresses. I believe if Acuna was playing in the 80's he would be a 100 SB guy too.
Last night was fun to watch. The game was over in 2 hours 19 minutes. The other early games were still in the sixth inning and the Braves game was finished
