Ipster, Fried just doesn't have it I am afraid tonite. He did just pitch a good 3rd though. OFCI’d say we still got a shot but with the strike zone the way it is tonight I’m not feeling it lol

Yea I knew it in the first…they were hitting him too hard. We’re still in good shape splitting if we don’t come back tonight.Ipster, Fried just doesn't have it I am afraid tonite. He did just pitch a good 3rd though. OFC
Albies CRUSHED some balls, but just right at someone like you saidWe hit a few balls right at guys on offense…we good
He looked completely out of sorts in the first two innings, better after that. Infield defense was abysmal as well. The one positive tonight we didn't use up any of our best guys from the bullpen. A couple of extra days rest is HUGE for Minter, Jackson, Matzek, and Smith. Also, Wright looked really good against the side there late.Yes the first inning had me secound guessing but I don’t think Fried let us down. I think that shift killed us..it would have been a complete different ball game had we fell back on the 0-2 count. He pitched great after and good enough before IMO
And you said this before our pitcher broke his damn leg playing baseball!! Saw some troubling uncharacteristic things out of the team last night that I hope they can shake offI truly believe the Braves are cursed as a franchise.
It was like bp out there. At least he settled down a little . Like the horse that smoltz kept beating to death, they have a lot of hitters that feast on inside fastballs and that’s Max’s favorite pitch so there’s a sh— storm of negativity that we can all focus on going forward with Charlie out and astros being a bad fit for max but as far as the history goes,a lot of these guys weren’t even born in 91 92 96 or don’t remember it anyway. Go Braves. Keep choppingYea I knew it in the first…they were hitting him too hard. We’re still in good shape splitting if we don’t come back tonight.
I'm concerned. The errors these first two games are head scratchers. Also, after Wright's nice inning last night do you think he starts game 4? Hopefully he doesn't give up 7 runs in the first again. And you said this before our pitcher broke his damn leg playing baseball!! Wrights career era is over 6 and tucker Davidson has one career decision. Game 3 a must win just about. Thank God the next three are in atl. I don’t know who starts game 4. Smoltz kept talking about his live arm last night. Maybe he wants to go a few inningsI'm concerned. The errors these first two games are head scratchers. Not to be mr obvious but if we lose from here on I want it to be because their hitting and pitching is better not because we make little league type errors and goofy base running blundersI'm concerned. I'll say this group doesn't lack confidence. However, like Hart, I have seen some troubling trends in the first two games. The infield defense has been less than stellar for a team that's known for having excellent infield defense. Some of that is the Astros, but most is on the Braves. The outfield played well in game one and so-so in game two. Honestly, if Max had pitched in the first two innings like he did I his last few we probably win the game. I wish I could say I am not nervous and I am confident about being back in Atlanta....but I am nervous and lacking confidence. Braves haven't won a World Series home game since '95. Let's hope they can at least win two, three would be ideal though!I say we bring Smoltz down out of the booth to the mound and see what he's got!!
It just really sucks that we make it to the world series and don't have Acuna or Morton.
I really believe though that we have a team full of believers. Hope they can keep their confidence high and play loose.
bleed I hear ya pal....."Nervous and lacking confidence," thats me right now. I guess Ian goes tonight, and we desperately need some solid innings out of him to stem the tide. Houston gets those hitting shoes on and its katy bar the door.I'll say this group doesn't lack confidence. However, like Hart, I have seen some troubling trends in the first two games. Hart, the nerves are already getting to me man!bleed I hear ya pal....."Nervous and lacking confidence," thats me right now. I guess Ian goes tonight, and we desperately need some solid innings out of him to stem the tide. Houston gets those hitting shoes on and its katy bar the door.
Yes, DEFENSE! Solid glove play behind our pitching becomes magnified this time of year. Houston comes to town with the momentum and confidence off Game 2. We need to wrestle it back EARLY TONIGHT!!! OFC
He just about does the hokey pokey out thereGarcia's wind up gets on my nerves. OFC
I liked the old get the runners over strategy but I don’t know what the analytics say or how much Snit is into that but yeh that was tough to watch. Hate to sound broken recordy but there are times where we need ground ball contact hittersBad at bats from Ozzie, Adam, and Travis.
We’ll be haunted by that if we lose this oneLeft the bases loaded. My head is going to explode
Pure basket case here without the Beam bleed!!! Hope the bases loaded stranded doesnt haunt us!!!Hart, the nerves are already getting to me man!
I was worried he didn’t have much feel after all those balls the first inning but no hits not too shabby.Nice outing by Ian
I'm very concerned that it might. We've just not been able to get very much going.Pure basket case here without the Beam bleed!!! Hope the bases loaded stranded doesnt haunt us!!!

I’m guessing seeing Luke head to the mound has not calmed your nerves. Been since 1969 since a team went through six without giving up a hit. Let’s go!!!!Pure basket case here without the Beam bleed!!! Hope the bases loaded stranded doesnt haunt us!!!

I hope we hold on, because I just don't know what to think about games 4 and 5. Both being bullpen games all but guarantees we head back to Houston. Need to win tonight and take either tomorrow or Sunday night. Again, I'm not sure about us holding on tonight either. Very concerned. Astros are too damn good to hold down without a hit.I think we win tonight. Just not sure about after that
Too many missed opportunities have killed the Braves tonight. Going to need Matzek and Will Smith to bring it here. Stress levels are at an all time high. The Braves are playing well. My biggest complaint is the failure to slap the ball to the right side when that's all that is needed
We bout to throw a no hitter on these chumps!!!I hope we hold on, because I just don't know what to think about games 4 and 5. Both being bullpen games all but guarantees we head back to Houston. Well.......that didn't age wellWe bout to throw a no hitter on these chumps!!!
