So this is another departure from Coach K. He apparently didn't like home and home series. Good for Jon.
I’m so excited I’m about 4 hours from Tucson! Will be there!
Jon is working on his "things people complain about Duke" checklist.
Hopefully people will still complain about Duke winning too much.
I think this is a good thing. Duke used to do this. Even if we take an early loss it will be a learning experience; our young guys always have that game where they seem surprised at the Duke hostility.
I think it's good also. I hope that it's in February. It's good to step out of conference for a big game on national TV.
It really helps Arizona. They seem to have dodged any penalties and now have a really good coach. Losing conference games with UCLA will hurt them

I like this but anyone comparing this to K shouldn’t since their really is no scientific way to determine what REALLY helps teams win in March (neutral sites or true home and home). If Scheyer is going to equal or surpass K’s NCAA Tournament success by scheduling like this then his way will prove superior.
Being younger, it’s almost expected Scheyer would schedule like this (like K used to) and maybe if he has similar success he will also schedule like K did in his latter years.

It occurs to me that this may be a way to increase our recruiting in the Arizona area. The more Duke gets exposure in other areas of the country, the better for recruiting those areas.
It certainly doesn’t hurt. Hope we see more games in Vegas as well!
