I mentioned a few weeks back that I had learned my great grandfather was one of the stonecutters/setters for the university and most specifically the chapel, it is the whole reason my family moved to and settled in Durham in the early 30s.
My grandmother (his daughter) recently gave me about 30 black and white (sepia) photos of the building of the chapel and other parts of the university.
They are really great!
They are dated from 1931 and I thought they may have some value to a Duke historical society or something.
Anyone got any ideas?
