Remind me ... what was I supposed to be taking pictures of? The stadium or something more specific?
GT jumped from No Rank to #16, and now there is even talk about them hosting a regional? Wow. Beating Duke 2 out of 3 must be a very big deal!

Well, suppose you'll be waiting another year.
The changes from last year to this one were having sunken dugouts with more space, the outfield fence being moved in a little bit, a "party" type area available for purchase by large groups past the left field fence.
I'm not sure what the next steps in the renovation are. I would think getting permanent bathrooms in there is high on the priority list. Or adding lights to the stands. One of the guys who goes to most games -- Scott Medlin from Section 17 podcast -- said they're supposed to be putting in a press box for next season. But I'll believe that when I see it.
The weather is fantastic -- though I thought I heard a forecast for afternoon showers on the way in.
More problematic was the 4-hour, 10-minute game to start the day's action. Wake and Cal combined for 26 runs, 24 hits, 26 walks, 7 HBPs.
Is there a new rule in place that pitchers must wear blindfolds? Some of those numbers have to be records, no?

It shouldn't be much of a secret and I'll have something later in the week on Duke's pitching for the regional ... but Owen Proksch will start Duke's first game of the regional.
And that will be the later game Friday. Georgia-Binghamton will be noon on SEC Network; Oklahoma State-Duke will be 6 p.m. on ESPNU.

Good win against Oklahoma State
A little. Mostly matters that Reid Easterly had to come in and throw 20-some pitches.
I'd guess he's available tonight but only for 20ish pitches, instead of him being able to stretch out.
Starter tonight is Kyle Johnson, btw.
The games I've seen this year they all scary. Pitching will determine how far we go. In ACC tournament saw too many belt high fastball on 0-2 pitches.
Big win tonight pitching was great especially Johnson the starter. Nothing better than beating SEC team on their home field and watching on a SEC Homer channel.

I’m glad they lost . The conference tournaments don’t mean much to the committee, I’d rather have our pitchers rest.

Duke left side of the infield was unbelievable in the field and at the plate. 3 Homeruns

They do get base hit to drive in 2 runs bottom of the 8th to go up 3-2. Big win for Duke and pitching staff was good all weekend. Lot of good teams done for the year.
Man you would’ve thought Duke had played the four hour game earlier today but hell of a comeback in the 8th

Highlights for those who didn’t see it:
Duke down 2-0 in the bottom of the 8th. Star CF Gracia hits a HR to make it 2-1. He gets to wear a construction helmet with “Duke“ on it. Harris hit a 2-rbi single to give Duke the lead. Duke players run onto the field celebrating. Gracia is ejected because he’s still wearing the construction helmet. Top of the ninth, first batter hits a liner to CF that Gracias’ replacement, Kyle Johnson, makes a great play to catch. After a ground ball out (now 2 outs), the OSU batter strikes out on a wild pitch, and runs to first. He beats the throw but Duke challenges and he’s called out for interference. Game over!

I thought he was out because he didn’t touch the white bag coming back? I don’t understand the new green bag rule
Albright solid regular season King, but awful weekend in Athens. Ben Miller, our slugging 3rd baseman was out with a hand injury today. We need him badly next weekend- hope he can come back!! Epic 8th inning comeback for us today.
