Defending the results

Who cares? haters are going to hate and they're going to bitch and moan about us until kingdom come. I dont have to defend anything. I just point to the rafters.

I'm with Show, their tears are so satisfyingly delicious, and i hope to drink more and more of them.

We beat Michigan State by 20 and there are still people who think the refs favored us in that game. We could have dominated Wisconsin and if those two Winslow plays still happened people would still say Duke was favored by the refs. There are still people who try to discredit our 2010 championship and I've even seen crazy people who claim all of our titles were given to us by the refs and the selection committee. We are Duke, people hate seeing us win and therefore will try to come up with all these delusional thoughts as to why Duke shouldn't have won.

Duke haters, who seem to be most of the basketball world after we win an important game despise us because we just have a knack for fighting with a spirit that makes us winners. This is what Coach K instills in his players and he has that tough little street guy persona that gets under a haters skin.

I've heard a lot of outcry this morning about the officials. Part of that is that many were rooting for Wisc and in a few weeks no one will care and Duke will still be champions.

What sucks is that to much is focused around calls and I hate as a Duke fan having to discuss that over the great game. Yes there were bad calls against Duke...big ones too like Okafors 3rd and Winslows 2nd but being objective Wisc really had the worst of it...especially late.

Duke could've won without the few bad calls and that's what gets lost initially. i love the title and this team played great...I just really wish the calls were right...that's all

Bronson Koening pushed off on Quinn Cook with 2 minutes left. 9 seconds later we encounter the infamous Winslow out of bounds call. All of these Duke antagonists also seem to forget how easily the refs could have called a foul on Koening. Winslow had the ball with two hands and Koening got Winslow's right arm, swipped the left side of his head, and that swipe motion continued on down towards Winslow's left shoulder. He could have been called for a foul 3 or 4 times in the span of ten seconds... and as aforementioned by a few others, Hayes bodied Winslow a bit to force him out of bounds. It wasn't blantant by any means, but it could have been called.
