Cars, guns and BBQ thread

For you stang boys, here’s my son Zacks car. I’ll dig up the write up National Speed did on it.

Zack brought his 2017 Ford Mustang GT back in to have the Coyote 5.0L taken up a notch! And with the results coming in at an additional 300whp, we'd say that qualifies...

Back in July, we set this S550 up with a set of Stainless Works long-tube headers and a custom dyno calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners, resulting in a nice round 428.02whp & 423.45lbft. Solid results! But after just a couple weeks, Zack was already itching for more.

So, Zack brought her back in to have Coyote put under a little pressure! Up first, Alex installed a Gen-III 2.9L twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers equipped with a 3.625" upper pulley, billet oil pump gears from Modular Motorsports Racing - MMR, a set of LZTR7AIX-13 spark plugs from NGK Spark Plugs India, along with all the miscellaneous OEM Ford components to bring it all together.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a recalibation via HP Tuners. The results? 733.39whp & 565.60lbft at 12psi on 93 octane! That's a peak gain of 305.37whp & 142.15lbft over last round (see overlay graph in picture stack), and over 350whp & 250lbft at redline!

It's safe to say that the new performance should keep Zack entertained for more than a couple weeks this time.

@retiredsoldier I tried to quote one of your Paige but it kept saying “post could not be found”. Whenever I go to a gun and knife show most of the knives that I usually buy are in the $15-$40 for the most part and when my dad asks me how much I paid for the knife or knives I bought and I tell him what I paid for them, he always says “you should spend some money and buy you a nice knife instead spending money on cheap knives”. My philosophy is that you can get good quality without spending a lot of money, it might not be the best quality but it’s still good quality. Out of all the knives in my collection, I’ve only spent more than $40 on 2 knives that I’ve bought. One I bought at a knife store in Myrtle Beach I paid just over $97 for and it has a custom made handle on it made from Purple Heart wood and another type of wood that I can’t remember and the other one I bought at the gun and knife show back in January and the guy that I bought it from originally wanted $75 for it but he gave it to me for $60 because I paid for it with cash.

Exactly buddy. I totally agree with you on that. May have to look harder sometimes, but in the end, it's worth it.

Oh snap, that's what I'm talking about right there. I remember those rims from back in the day too. I think everybody was sporting those or the cragars.

Yea, if you were cool had to have Keystone Classic rims and Grand Am radial White letter tires, LoL
I know right, and now things are coming full circle, The white letters are coming back by way of having them done at custom shops now.

You had keystone classics, Cragar SST’s, or you parked behind the school!!
Lmfao, not parking behind the school! I never had to worry about that. We couldn't afford but one car and the bus, tennis shoes, put together bike from spare parts was our transportation. Hard times back then, but wouldn't change if for nothing. I thought I was the man when I got a new pair of tough skin jeans with double knee pads lol.

I remember when I FINALLY got my first pair of Nikes......this guy stepped on them and put a mark on the toe on purpose. I STILL hate that guy and I hope he has IRS problems!!

Yeah it might take a little work but yeah you can still find good quality for less money. The picture of the knife that posted that I actually have two of. One I paid a little over $30 for on amazon and the other one I paid $35 for. Altogether I’ve bought 9 Bowie knives that I paid a total of about $190 maybe $200 for all of them.

I'm going to see if I can find some of the other pictures I use to have tomorrow. My other phone died and couldn't transfer any of my old pictures.
