By the numbers

I was checking out a game notes post leading up to our first game in the NCAA tourney on Friday and it had some pretty interesting stats in it.

1) Jah is on pace to be the first freshman to lead Duke in scoring, rebounding and fg percentage
2) Jah's .669 fg percentage leads the ACC and is 4th overall in the NCAA and is second in Duke history behind Laettner .723 his freshman year.
3) Jah is ranked in the top 5 in scoring, rebounding and fg percentage
4) Quinn has made 113 total 3 pointers and 40.5% during his 43 consecutive game streak of making at least one 3 pointer and it's the 5th longest streak in ACC history
5) Quinn leads the ACC with 91 made 3 pointers this season
6) Tyus leads Duke in steals and assists and will be the 4th Duke player to lead the team in both as a freshman. ( Tommy Amaker, Bobby Hurley and Jason Williams)
7) Duke leads the ACC and is 4th nationally in scoring (80.6 ppg)
8)Duke is the only NCAA team with 3 freshmen averaging double figures in scoring
9)Duke will be playing in their 287th consecutive game being ranked in the AP Poll
10)Duke's next win will be the 14th 30 win season in school history
11) Coach K holds the NCAA record for 30 win seasons by a coach with 13
12) Duke has lost back to back games 3 times since 2010 and are 28-3 following a loss during that span

These were the most interesting stats and numbers but there were more stats and numbers in the game notes.

Those are impressive numbers. However, right now all I care about it the numbers 6 and 5. Six games to win to get number 5.

I'm right there with you bleediteveryday30. I'm a night owl so sometimes I get bored at night and do a lot of web surfing on my phone lol. I was checking my Facebook when I found a game notes article and started reading it and thought I would share some of the stats and numbers that it listed with fellow posters.

Haha, hey man, I appreciate you taking the time to share brother! I am up late as well. I am hoping that those numbers keep improving and increasing for at least 3 more weeks man. I think these guys are focused and ready for a deep run and a possibly title.

I'm up late every night. Usually until about 3am lol so I get bored and do a lot of web surfing and I usually end up searching Duke related stuff because I like reading about Duke's history and statistics. I agree that this team are focused and ready to make a deep run this year and brining home title #5 back to Durham. We had a 12 game win streak before a minor hiccup. Now it's time to end the season with a 6 game win streak and that will have us winning 18 out of 19 games to end the season.
