Has he been ruled out for the year or is there a possibility he plays again with a final 4 run? He makes the defense versatile against any team if available. Pat has improved but having that 3rd big would be huge.

Nothings been said but I expect him to be finished for the year .

He is going to have to have surgery regardless so I’m not sure he can really do much additional damage. I think if you make the final four he plays
I’ve heard sweet 16 & yes, he can do more damage with recurrent dislocations. Def will need surgery after the season concludes.

I really think it will be the elite eight IF he was to return for minutes. I definitely know we won’t see him first two matchups . If he plays that’s just a chance for re-injuring the shoulder then he’s definitely done . If he hasn’t had surgery by then I think there is no way he will let Scheyer keep him on the bench with a NC in grasp .

Scheyer probably the last one to make decision. I think if we in final 4 he may see limited minutes.

Maybe a Boozer situation? Limited minutes in the second weekend if we are there and bigger minutes if we're lucky enough to make the final weekend.

I'd love to get Brown back for the Sweet 16/Elite 8. Ngongba put up some numbers during the ACC tournament, but it was clear that our defense falls off without him. Yeah he can block some shots, and he boxes out better than Maliq does, but the numbers say our defense is much worse with him. I know at one point in the UL game, we were -14 with Big Pat on the floor.

Jon has tried hiding him in a zone, but then we become a zone team and not an elite man to man team. He is really slow at hedging out and then getting all the way back into the paint. But he's a freshman who didn't play last year in HS due to injury, so this is sorta expected. He has amazing post moves offensively, so when he does play, he needs to score to be a net positive.

Alabama (if we see them) is the game we will REALLY need Brown. Just like UNC, they want to spread the floor and have a big switch out onto Sears, it's literally all they do. Brown could turn the water off against them and completely shut them down, he was made for a game like this.
