Kon will need to adjust his game as well. He started to attack the rim and reminded many he's 6'6/6'7 and strong. That makes a world of difference

Watched their whole game against Alabama last night and they just aren't very good right now. Gotta love it.

I watched the majority of this game...both those guys took some ill advised shots and missed so they dont really have an argument in this game. The cheats got bullied on the boards on the defensive end...something that they usually own and lacked much offensive rebounding...Jwill called it out...they played really soft....this is not the usual Cheat team

In the second half, we were starting to come unglued. I was starting to get the vibes of our two losses. I thought we had gotten wobbly, (I know I was) and too reliant on Cooper. We got the break we needed, and Proctor righted the ship with that big 3. Like everyone is saying, a really big win, and solid efforts from everyone that played. When out there, Foster was aggressive. We need that.

I agree that Evans needs to play a little more, but his defense is way behind. That brings up the old debate we've had. Is his defense weak because he isn't getting to play, or is that why he isn't playing? I don't like seeing Cooper play 38 minutes. On Kon, he's no surprise to anyone anymore. So he's going to have to do a better job going to the basket, and we may need to run multiple screens to free him up. He played 31 minutes last night, which I think is fair.

This board is undefeated when it comes to breakout individual performances resulting in someone posting about how he could have done that in every game if only the coach was as smart as us.

I don't want to sound negative. But were we prepared?? We got down 12-2 very quick. Thank god he took a timeout at that point though. All of our big games, once the game gets into a flow, we ALWAYS make a run, because we are the better and more talented team. It's the first 4/last 4 minutes of each half that I worry about. How much of that is coaching? How much of that is freshman? I'm not sure honestly.

I believe Jon's leash for Kon is way too long, last night Evans should have started the 2nd half for Kon. Kon plays hard, and the 3 WILL fall for him again, but last night Evans was the man. Another gripe was our play at the end of the 1st half, guess what play we ran??? Everyone stand around and let Flagg go 1 on 1, he got away with a push off, and missed a very tough jumper. Why didn't we run any action?

Tough to complain much though. We are the #1 Ken Pom defense in the country. And all 3 of Jon's years, we have been good on defense. It seems that he teaches defense over offense more in the offseason, which I like.

Maluach wasn't great last night but he was also going against the possible National POY. Most believe we win the Kentucky game if Maluach doesn't get cramps, there is an important role for him still on this team. I think it's more matchup dependant but overall I see Mal/Brown getting about a 20/20 minute split. And no, they can't be on the court together, Jon tried this in the Seattle game and the best shots we could get were Mal/Brown open 3's because they weren't being guarded. Maybe they could for a defensive possesion or 2.

Regardless......HUGE WIN!!! EVANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be in the building Sunday.

I’ll admit, I didn’t think Brown would be this good on defense and cleaning the boards. He’s been nothing short of amazing and it’s so nice to have a junior big man who’s been battle tested.

Everything I've been saying about Evans. "Instant offense"... I'm glad Jon gave him a chance. We was great... a GREAT win. Sion is a lock in the starting lineup. And that's not a knock on Foster. He just is aggressive like we need him to be. Foster played great too... Great win, let's keep building.

Great job, I do wish he would get heated at the refs when needed.

When he disagrees with a call more times than not he just has this look on his face like “these refs are a joke”.

I said last week that he honestly doesn’t bring much time the table. We are so much better with Brown on the floor.

Mal has a future in this game but he should get only 12-15 minutes, which it spirals JS realizes now.

Auburn did adjust to Evans, but we only got a limited sample of Evans in the 2nd half to see how that would have played out. If they’re focused on him, that should open things up for others, particularly down low. My guess (and hope) is that we’ll see more of him as we play lesser competition. Which is virtually every other team in the ACC.

Evans’ performance last night reminded me of Grayson’s coming out party against Wake late in 2015. After that game, he was a regular off the bench, and we all know how that turned out. Of course, Grayson was physically more developed, and was a PITA on D, which may have made his case stronger. But this poor outside-shooting team clearly needs a reliable threat.

Haven't watched yet, but see that Pearl didn't waste any time whining about the refs. About as surprising as getting wet when one jumps in the shower.

Makes me wonder if that guy was a whiny b$&^h straight out of the womb or did he evolve that way over time. Nurture vs nature?

Just another used car salesman head coach that acts like a baby when every little thing doesn't go his way. I'd be embarrassed if I were a fan of any team he's coached.

The two losses against Kansas and Kentucky don’t hurt that bad. They are no slouches. We all know Self is a great coach and Pope seems to be a big improvement over Cal early on as far as X’s and O’s go. Both of those games could have went either way. If we would have been blown out there would have been a different vibe.

I think I read his parents are close by. He’s got help and support by them and others if he actually wants to get better.

Not sure if anyone has seen the most recent IG post from Kyle. He’s close to rock bottom. I’m not sure if you pray or not but he needs prayers big time. I feel for him.
