It was nothing: "In 2020, 66.38 percent of the eligible voting population turned out, with 159,738,337 ballots counted across the country, according to the University of Florida's Election Lab. There were 240,628,443 eligible voters that year.
As of 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, fewer people had turned out than four years ago—64.54 percent of the 245,741,673 eligible had cast ballots for a total of 158,549,000.
"

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Arizona: "Arizona Republicans concluded their audit of the 2020 presidential election Friday and said in a letter to the Attorney General that the review's overall tally matched results from November."

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Georgia: "In a state where Republicans controlled every branch of government, [Republican Secretary of State] Raffensperger stood up to Trump on the call.
Brad Raffensperger (on call): We have to stand by our numbers. We believe our numbers are right.
Trump's lawyers brought shocking tales of fraud to the legislature. But investigations by the state police, FBI and Raffensperger's office found none was true.
Brad Raffensperger: They said there were 66,000 underage voters. There were zero. Then they said that there were 2,423 non-registered voters. There were zero.
Scott Pelley: But you're a Republican. He was your president.
Brad Raffensperger: I work for the people of Georgia. I respond and I work for the voters of Georgia. My job is to run a fair, honest, accurate election."

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Michigan: "The GOP-led state Senate Oversight Committee said in a 55-page report released Wednesday that citizens should be confident that the election’s outcome represents the “true results.” Democrat Joe Biden defeated then-President Donald Trump by about 155,000 votes, or 2.8 percentage points, in the battleground state.

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Nevada: "There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in Nevada, at any point in our state’s history," Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar wrote in a statement with the release of the report. "That has not stopped the Secretary of State’s Office from receiving a major increase in questions about election fraud and integrity."

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Pennsylvania: "Pennsylvania's top election official said Sunday that the commonwealth's 2020 elections were "accurate," while saying Pennsyvlania is "not susceptible to any sort of widespread voter fraud" — and he said officials are preparing with heightened security to combat threats as Election Day draws near.
"Time and time again, in many dozens of cases in 2020, every one of those cases upheld that our elections were accurate and that we're not susceptible to any sort of widespread voter fraud or anything like that," [Republican] Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Al Schmidt said Sunday on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan."

2020 was investigated thoroughly in Wisconsin: "The legal bills for a Republican-ordered investigation of the 2020 presidential election continue to pile up, with the total cost to taxpayers for the probe now topping $2 million, according to a recent report."
I believe him, B. I don't know why, but I do.

We? We could have turned the page on him after the 2020 election but you didn't want to. There's no telling how much more he would have done in 8 straight years in office. There's no telling what he will do in the next 4 years.

If I'd had my way, we'd be looking at President-elect Tim Kaine after 8 years as VP. Congressional Republicans would be holding their 93rd investigation into President Hillary Clinton's actions that led to the deaths of 39 Americans during the Covid pandemic.
Yikes. And yes, WE. I actually did want to move on from Trump. But he handily won the republican vote in the primary. And I sure as hell wasn't going to vote for the left in protest of the republicans picking Trump.

And lol at what he will do. We already know. It's written in the project 2025 playbook. And one thing I know is that when someone draws up a playbook, they intend to use it.

Overturned on appeal I should say

her Dad was a professor at Stanford. How gullible are you?
Overturned now that he's the President-elect, and in courts with Trump judges.

Both of her parents immigrated to the US a few years before she was born in 1964, the same year President LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act and a year before he signed the Voting Rights Act. Real estate redlining continued into the 1970s (you should know: Dear Leader settled lawsuits for it). Her dad was an assistant and associate professor until he first went to Stanford in 1972 when Kamala was 8 and her parents were already divorced. You think a Black immigrant in the '60s was raking it in financially? You think most professors are raking it in now? How gullible are you? I stand by my statement that she came from "modest" means.

Perhaps it was legit due to the lax verification laws changed for that particular election ; maybe it wasn’t. We’ll never know Of course the leaders of a state are going to err on the side of “ We’re not corrupt. No not us”.
Yet you don't apply that same standard to Dear Leader when he claims he won in a landslide in 2020? He was claiming it before polls closed on election night. He has been lying to you to convince you elections are corrupt since 2016.

I was ready to get out asap. I used my sick leave that I had accumulated to give me 30.5 years of service. There was a huge difference between teaching kids in the late 80’s compared to 2010’s. The lack of effort and respect given to the teachers just showed me how much society has changed. I just believe in hard work and a can do attitude, which many students lack. Driver Ed is a good gig, but I did have to go an extra year in college to get certified. As far as it being a racket, there’s a lot more to it than most people realize. The kids today for the most part are clueless on how to handle a vehicle and right-of-way rules. The smart phone has really done them a disservice. Anyway, retirement is great. If I were you, I’d retire now and find something else part-time. You can make just as much money without the stress.
Yeah, I could go out now with my sick leave. There's a hitch in the system, though, where in order to get the career license you don't have to renew, you have to go the full 30 years w/o using sick leave toward the total, and I'll need that for either subbing or teaching part-time.

I didn't mean Driver's Ed isn't legit, just that coaches practically have a closed shop.

I started teaching in '96. The only thing that has really caused me to think the kids have changed is Covid. Other than that, what change there is has been gradual and the biggest changes have been in me. The Internet wasn't really much of a thing for my first few years. Cell phones weren't much of a thing until a few years after that. They are both curveballs that have affected schools, for sure. I imagine teachers in the '50s said the same thing about rock & roll. Shoot, there's a Socrates quote about it: "Children nowadays are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food, and tyrannise [sic] their teachers." And the kids we've taught over the course of our careers will say the same thing about their own kids' generations.

He has already undermined right-wing trust in the courts. Why should you think the appeals process is any more trustworthy? Or that a President-elect who has sworn vengeance on his enemies will really be treated fairly? If it was any other wealthy reality TV star, you'd say they were buying their way out of it. Add to that that he is likely to have judges he appointed deciding his cases, and why would you trust a "Trump judge" to be fair and impartial?

My ridiculous post re: 2020 where I provided articles from diverse sources quoting Republican after Republican saying the election was legit, and which you countered by saying lockdown day-drinking was voter manipulation? Yeah, I'm the ridiculous one.

All of his charges will be either dismissed or appealed. You should really keep up
As far as your other ridiculous post re: 2020, mail in ballots were sent without voter ID or signature verification Current tenants filled out ballots for previous tenants, spouses filled out ballots for their less interested significant others etc.
On top of that, a lot of voters were deeply depressed due to draconian lock downs and turned to alcohol and drugs to ease the pain They weren’t thinking straight. Not in the category of fraud but voter manipulation

Oh I know you were friends with the normals sounds like haha. My moms the cafeteria manager at the high school I went to and you can always tell which teachers/principals aren’t nuts cuz they come hang out with them when they can lol
My mother worked in the school cafeteria when I started middle school. She worked for 20 years. She loved it, but would sometimes come home with a burn on her arm where she had gotten in a hurry to get the food out. Those ladies are some hard workers and great people. A lot of the teachers I worked with acted like they were better than them. The over educated always seemed to lack common sense. Is your mom at Pisgah High School?

This is year 29 for me. I wish I could get in on the Driver's Ed racket for my retirement gig, but coaches pretty much have that locked-down. I'm planning on going 32, when my youngest graduates. My latest plan is to get my CDL and drive a bus, sub or teach part-time between routes. Just a lark at this point, really.
