With all the free throws they should have scored hundred fifty
Great win. We bent but we never broke. Syracuse was tough and they played well. Big road win. Can't say enough about Vernon. Don't know where we would be without him or Tre. Alex came up big tonight also along with Stanley. We HIT our free throws. Free throws win games. We hit 88% tonight and we hit crunch time free throws. Both Jon and Nolan on my mind tonight. I'm sure the won helped. OFC

Definitely some weird calls in that one. Other than the score we looked more like the team we were pre-Wendell’s injury which is great. Awesome team win with different guys stepping up at different times. Vernon looking like he made it over the freshman wall.
Nice road win. 29 for 33 at the charity stripe. Awesome.

Came home and saw the Cheats lose
Then watched Kentucky lose
Then watched us win (had $100 on the game)

Big time win on the road in a hostile environment... a lot of different guys contributed and stepped up tonight. Team win
They were partly able to get to 88 because of the number of FT’s they made. I actually thought we were much much better on the defensive end in the second half. First half was kind of iffy though!

Weird game not sure if I love how we played or hate how we played.
We dont win this one without Javin and Alex. Regardless of how "accurate" some of the criticisms of them have been, last night indicates how unwarranted those criticisms probably are.

I think a little of both. We shot the ball well, but we could have extended that lead and truly ended that game earlier. The frustrating part about that is it was some unforced turnovers that lead to some threes that kept them in it. I thought Tres decision making down the stretch wasn't very good either, which is uncharacteristic (he also played 40 minutes). Luckily we hit our free throws, especially Tre down the stretch. It's being somewhat nitpicky and obviously that was a great hard fought ACC road win, but we don't always shoot free throws well so we need to do a better job of taking care of the basketball, especially in crunch time.
Agree that we won because of how Javin and Alex played. I disagree about the criticism of both though. Let’s not kid ourselves, they haven’t played as well as they should. Both, IMO, are very important guys off the bench. Javin because he needs to be able to give good minutes so Vernon can rest. Alex because of his athleticism. One thing with him that’s overlooked is his passing. He’s not bad at driving and dishing. He just can’t hurt us on defense.
We have to be careful how we say things, but criticism is not always a bad thing.
Remember when we were scratching our heads about where the scoring would come from this season...
Also, Coach K won his 1,150th game last night, 50 shy of 1,200
Alex played well last night but I'll wait till he does it against someone other than Syracuse before I get too excited about him helping the team....but he did play well last night
Great win. We went back to playing 9 guys double digit minutes. That’s our strength. It was great to see Moore back out there because his presence gives us the ability to play more lineups. We made it through our usual January stretch so now it’s time to hit that usual stride in February to get that 1 seed. Alex stepped up. He loves playing Syracuse. I won’t believe he turned the corner until I see it again against a non zone team. Outside of that it’s time to make this run. We have to kill UNC next week. If we beat them bad they will definitely give up on the season. It’ll be beautiful.
He has to imagine every future opponent is Syracuse!
I went to Charlestown in WV. I live in MD and we don't have sports gambling here unfortunately. I threw away the futures sheet but I think Gonzaga was favorite at +800

Cool. I've never heard of that casino and when I googled it, it's about 5 1/2 hours away from me. Charlestown is about an hour from me so it's not too bad.
Love that casino, my Mom and Dad lived just a few miles from there, Hollywood was pretty cool. I crushed the Craps table there one night! I’ll be in Tunica , Mississippi end of April to play 3 WSOP events, couldn’t get time off for Cherokee.

To me, too much of the criticisms are personal and over the top, just like with many past players. Alex and and especially Jav hustle their butts off. They have to work 10 times harder in the classroom than many other student athletes have to, they picked Duke, they STAYED instead of transferring when things dodnt go perfectly...
Oh yeah, in the end, we really need them.
