That's the thing.... Losing to the eventual champ is at least something. KU looked HOTTTT to start the game, and now are sh*tting the bed. I'm just torn on this lol. I suppose rooting for the ACC is semi acceptable tonight. Dirty is dirty so both teams should be given the NCAA death penalty but hey, life's not perfect. I just want to see the opposing fans loss their minds when they lose so I can at least take glee in the suffering of others

They have been to seven final fours since 2000….We have been to four. We get way better talent at Duke but they get deeper in the tournament than we do on average.
It sucks all around but they are a better program….but I still hate them.

Honestly, refs are usually garbage. They would be better off using playground rules and calling your own fouls.

I totally agree…I mean it hurts to say it.
But if you actually look at tournament results and think Duke is a better program than UNC then you are just being a homer.
OAD is nice for NBA marketing and salaries…sucks for Tournament results.
I’m nervous about Jon…His only coaching experience is with K and OAD system…it’s not like he has background or a database of coaching he’s working off of.
One thing I know as a coach…you basically are what you have been taught….and Jon has only ever been taught one way as an actual coach.
I would be pleasantly surprised if he was different but not shocked if he ends up not being much different.

Self always loses big games. He’s falling into Bob Stoops territory.
Give Jon a chance. I’m sure he’s going to be his own man. I coached with some good coaches and I always thought of some things that I would do differently if I was the head coach. Time will tell.
The thing that gives me hope is his teams at duke grew together and became champions. He understands that and (hopefully) implements that along with top recruiting

Oh yeah I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve a chance…I’m just skeptical until he proves otherwise.
These guys like Hubert Davis have been around the block many times now…UNC is already proven to be a better program and it’s possible it could get a lot worse in the next decade plus.
The future will tell…but UNC will land a lot of recruits off this run and new enthusiasm in the program…..I fear we are in for a lot of smack downs in the future.
I just hope the yearly mass exodus will stop at Duke. UNC players stick around. Doesn’t matter why, they just do. I’m getting tired of having to get to know a new starting 5 every year. Can Jon change that? Idk
