Tourney thread Round 2

Wonder if that Nova fan will stop by anymore. It seems that coming over here and running your mouth will curse your own team.

I had state with the win! And jus put it on the cryolina game and saw Roy brought out his nice sports coat for this one

I have State in the E8 losing to MSU. I think they can make some noise as the East isn't that tough.

Arkansas is hanging in. I feel like UNCheat is awful at end of game situations, so if Arkansas can keep it close to the end, they'll take it.

Too many guys taking too many threes in clutch situations. No one takes a mid-range jumper anymore. A lot of these teams could shrink the clock with a good two instead of these long, guarded threes.

I think the shorts Smith is wearing are actually pants.

Welllll looks like we get Utah if we win. Fine by me I'm ok with playing two straight "west coast" teams and possibly 3 in the zags. I guess we call Utah a west coast team anyway

UNC is completely average, Arkansas is pretty much bad! For priding themselves on playing fast they sure as hell never look good doing it!

Arkansas is really really bad lol the sec is such a joke. And idk about rather playing them then SDSU. SD can not score

UNC is putting together a good stretch here to take control of the game, but prior to that this has largely been a sloppy, careless game for both teams. Neither team spent a lot of time looking good for the first 30 minutes or so.

I don't know. Arkansas has 20 turnovers and I'm not convinced it's because of UNC's defensive pressure. I think the SEC is just not that great outside of UK.

Ok. Let's go out and get the job done tomorrow.OFC

After how UK looked most of the day against a pretty average Cincinnati team, coupled with how sloppy and unintelligent Arkansas has looked, who is supposed to be the SEC's second quality team, I'm starting to falter on my thoughts about UK.

I wish we could play D against Notre Dame the way Butler does! They aren't superstars or exceptional athletes but they play intense, physical defense. I don't think they are any more athletic than Duke. But I sure wish K could get his players to play with such physically and mentally tough defense.

People are jus now starting to see the real UK they've played a weakkkkkkk conf schedule and the best teams they played non conf are teams we beat as well! They won't win it IMO we have a great shot take care of business tomm and I think we make it there. Go Duke!

There's just too much going on here...not sure how to respond.

ND with the win! Awesome. Our conf is really showing up so far let's hope it continues tomm

I just saw Mike Brey's post game press conference and he mentioned that he lost his mom this morning to a heart attack. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

Yeah, we usually talk about gutty performances from players....but that's a gutty performance from a coach. Losing his mom earlier today? Wow. Congrats on the win to Brey and the Irish, but more importantly thoughts and prayers to the Brey family.

UK is really good. The weakness of their conference doesn't diminish what they've been able to accomplish. Anyone who has watched UK this season knows it isn't always pretty. But even still, their game vs Cincy was never really in doubt. UK is clearly the best team in the country....but they're beatable. We knew that before today.

Here's to hoping our boys bring it tomorrow and we take that next step. I'm not ready to see them be done.

Sorry to hear about Mike Brey's mom. Thoughts and prayers go out to him, his family and the ND family. OFC

That ND-Butler game was the most competitive game I've seen all year. Just tremendous heart on both sides - and add to that the fact that coach Brey lost his mom that day - wow. Prayers for him.

My predictions for Sunday; Maryland over WVA, Wichita over Kansas, Wiscy over Oregon, N.Iowa over Louisville, OK over Dayton, Mich St. over UVA, Duke over SanDiego St., Iowa over Gonzaga.
Given my success in my bracket so far, at least half of these will be wrong!

Good job on your pick with MSU over UVA. Despite UVA's opening round win I think they have been struggling. I was pulling for UVA but at least they got beat by a classy coach. OFC
