Ladies and Gents,

It's here. I can't believe how fast this season has flown by so far. During the summer of 2024 I saw the roster make up of The Blue Devils and I became Excited thinking about how Elite they could be Defensively and Elite they have been all season long on the Defensive End! Since the season opener against Maine, The Blue Devils have shown a Togetherness, they play for one another and support one another. This Blue Devils Team has been my favorite to watch since the 2014-2015 Duke Team. Each member on these Blue Devils Embraces their role on this team and this is why they have been successful so far. We've witnessed both the Coaching Staff and Team Evolve throughout the season.

Duke will be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Imo if Duke reaches the ACC Tournament Championship Game (regardless of the result), Duke will get the East Region (Newark). I am hoping the Blue Devils reach the ACC Tournament Championship to face 1) Clemson or 2) Louisville. Duke owes Clemson some payback. Clemson is a Final 4 Darkhorse and Louisville is an Elite 8 Darkhorse. I want Duke to win the ACC Tournament, but if they lose a hard fought game in the ACC Tournament it will not be the end of the world as sometimes a hard fought loss teaches more than a blow out win.

If you are able to make it to any of Duke's post season games, then I greatly recommend you do so! It is a great time visiting with fellow Duke fans while supporting The Blue Devils. There are some really cool and genuine Duke fans throughout this country.

Let's Support The Blue Devils Together and Continue to Enjoy The Journey The 2024-2025 Blue Devils have put us through

Hopefully no talk on this thread about who is leaving, who might be coming, or how many minutes should be played. Let's just root for THIS squad, not for some mythical future one.

I think we have the #1 seed in the East locked up unless we lose our 1st game to UVA/GT.
Regardless, and this was mentioned on a Podcast yesterday, I think Jon will use this tournament to integrate Brown back into the fold (though he didn't miss a beat Sat night at UNC) and also give Foster more PT to see what he can give us, think Ngongba gets a few more minutes than usual too.
Evans needs to get back on track too. The moment seemed a bit too big for him on Saturday night, so I think we see a lot of Evans during this tournament.

While doing all that...I think Jon will be chirping all week about how this is "lose and go home" to get our guys to understand how competitive and difficult a single elimination tournament can be.

I am going to Raleigh for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA Tourney. I go to a site every year, and picked Raleigh before the season started in anticipation of Duke being very good and a high probability of being placed in Raleigh. Duke has been better this year than I had imagined and I am very excited to see them live! There are no guarantees but this Duke team has all the tools to cut the nets down in San Antonio on April 7th. I will look forward to watching this Duke team compete in the journey towards that goal. Let's Go Duke!

Malik's minutes will have to come from somewhere. Ideally they'll come from starters we can afford to rest more, but in all likelihood they'll come from Pat and Evans. Pat has grown so much and I don't think he'll be buried, but Malik is a better defender and more versatile player overall. Evans is invaluable, but vs UNC, their aggressiveness took advantage of his... gangliness, for lack of a better word, and it just wasn't a great match-up for him.

I'm not crazy about adjusting our line-up to the other team. I prefer it when they adjust to us. That said, it happens, and the successful reintegration of Malik and Caleb give me hope that we can do it well when necessary.
