Kentucky is losing 7 and Duke possibly 3 underclassmen. I noticed that many other underclassmen are going to the NBA. The question is: are there enough great players in the class of '15 to replace or replicate the success of the class of '14? I heard that some experts were not impressed with the quality of the McDonalds' All Americans. If the incoming class is subpar, then schools like Kentucky and maybe Duke will have to develop these players over a few years and we will have more mature teams in the future. At least until another great HS class comes along. We may be getting back to Coach K developing a team over 2 or 3 years instead of the current one year major change. That would be good for college basketball. One interesting stat ( I heard) is that of the 49 underclassmen who declared early for the NBA draft last year, only 20 made an NBA team.

There may be a surprise or two in this incoming class, but nowhere near as strong as the freshmen this year. I guess you can't really gauge a player by the McDonald's game, but none of them were that impressive. I said it before, but our four freshmen could probably beat any combination of those five.

Duke's 2016 class could be just as OAD heavy as this year is. The 2016 class is considered a great class. 2015 has a few guys that could be OAD, however not like the 2014 class.

The incoming class does not look outstanding. I would not be surprised if a mid major program or team sneaks up and surprises people next year like zaga or Butler (I know they are in the new look Big East). We return a solid core of defensive minded players, will be interesting to see who else comes on board before it is all said and done. I think college basketball will be wide open for the taking next year.

Well the good thing with the 2015 class as it is right now is with Luke and Chase, we are getting some pretty talented guys who are gonna stick around.

^The message in bold and underlined above would be my dream come true! But we all know that may never happen again. I truly loved this year's team and will always remember them, but it was just too damn short of a stay for me!!
As for those who may think that Duke might not be very good next year, I believe you will be in for a pleasant surprise, especially if we get a point guard. It will take a while to coach them up (which is not always bad), but I believe "K" will do a great job with them.
Defense will not be a problem to start the year!
Go Duke!!
