Agreed here - I think Jon made a calculated decision to not recruit over Foster and honestly it is kind of refreshing. Foster also could looked for a fresh start. I think the way both navigated the middle of the year - together - says a lot about both of them. That being said you are likely done in the backcourt with these 4 so you need a leap from Foster and Evans while also getting more than you expect from Boozer and Harris.Agreed, need a starter at the 3 (Coward hopefully) and a backup 5 from the portal and then this group should be set.
The ceiling of next year's squad is ultimately going to be dependent on how big of a jump Evans and Foster can take in year 2 and 3 respectively.
So, Cam is going to be the focal point on offense? As of right now Cameron Boozer or Evans at end of game. That was an easy choice. I agree with Christopher
Yes 100%, he should be one of the best in college basketball next season. So, Cam is going to be the focal point on offense?
Big man Ike returning to Gonzaga. Huff too.
I need a guard with balls of STEEL
I see a board full of guys (and maybe girls) that don't remember the jump Nolan Smith and the whole Duke program took from losing to VCU in the tournament to winning it all. Foster gave us great minutes last year and now he's ready for a bigger role. Same goes the rest of our returnees. I like our position better than anybody out there at this point.
Yeah but most of those guys were starters. What about Mitchell and Stewart last year? I would consider them rotation players, shot Mitchell started.2nd off season Coach Scheyer didn’t have a rotation player enter the transfer portal.

Sorry about that I thought you you meant second in a rowThis off season and the 2023 off season, didn’t lose a rotation player to the transfer portal leading into the 2023-2024 season
Sean Stewart in the portal again haha. For one million you can get a guy who fouls out in 5 minutes. I would take him but I doubt he wants to come off the bench.
I want players that are well skilled at playing basketball. Kon is the best example of this. Man he plays the game so smart and under control that he uses more athletic defenders to his advantage. Not me, he’s nothing but athletic.
Can you imagine him as a four year guy? Everyone talks about Coop and rightly so, but a four year KK would be something to behold.I want players that are well skilled at playing basketball. I think he has those toolsFoster needs to really improve over the next few months. We need guards that causes defenses trouble. They need to be able to get into the lane. That opens up so many possibilities. Duke hasn't had that in a few years.
Hope so. A good point guard should average at least 5 assists a game.I think he has those tools

We know each season there's a few that are one and done. It is a very good though to keep Evans for another year, and to get Foster back for his 3rd season. You're right, there is some work to do.Great news. We did lose our 5 best guys if Mal leaves though. Some work to do.

OFC
True, but if you have to return guys, I like that we bring back a junior point guard, our biggest weapon off the bench and Big Pat, who I think is going to be a star. Not to mention, our best defender by far.Great news. We did lose our 5 best guys if Mal leaves though. Some work to do.
I heard that the youngest brother is the real deal. One of Kon’s brothers is going into his senior year in high school. He could be the next Knueppel to play for Duke, Class of 2026!!!

My favorite transfer that we've ever brought in. I love this kid. What he does for his surrounding communities is amazing. A great human.Another great interview. I'll say it again... Sucks we could only have Sion for only 1 year. I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever he does. Perfect ambassador for our program.
